Vivian K. Brown

Vivian Kathleen Brown, 78, for-died Saturday, Valley Baptist Medical Center in Harlingen, Texas, of complications fol-g triple bypass surgery.
A memorial service will be at Buck Ashcraft Funeral Home, 710 Ed Carey BROWN Drive, Harlin gen, Texas on Tuesday, July 13,1999.
She was born April 11, 1921 in Midian.
She lived in Augusta for over 40 years, prior to moving to Harlingen, Texas ,10 years ago. .
She was past president of the Augusta United Methodist Women’s Society, as well as past president of the Augusta Sorosis Club. She belonged to the Sunshine Estates
Women’s Golf League and enjoyed many years of square dancing.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Charles Witherspoon and her parents, Eva and Ellis Witherspoon.
She is survived by: her husband of 58 years, Claire Brown of Harlingen, Texas; daughters, Cheryl Johnson of Clovis, Calif, and Marcia Kirkpatrick of Riyadh, Saudi Arabia; sons, Gary Brown of San Diego, Calif, and Scott Brown of Beaumont, Texas; brother, Othel Witherspoon of Atwater, Calif.; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family
requests donations be sent to the United Methodist Church, Harlingen, Texas, or the American Heart Association.

Gladys Bewley

Gladys Amina Bewley, 93, of Augusta, died Wednesday, June 30, 1999 from injuries received in an auto accident..
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, July 2,1999 at the Fawn Creek Cemetery near Tyro, with Rev. Vern Bowers of the Augusta United Methodist Church officiating.
For those who cannot attend the services in Tyro, there will be a memorial service at the Augusta United Methodist Church in
Augusta at
noon, Sunday, July 4, 1999. Rev. Bowers will also officiate this service.
Gladys was born Feb. 19,1906 at Udall to Frank Albert and Ada Belle
(Reder) Brewer. She graduated from high school in Wichita and grew to womanhood in the Wichita area.
On May 29, 1926 she married Cliff Sawyer Hitchcock at Newton. Gladys and Cliff made their home in Howard, where they owned and operated the Western Auto store for many years. Cliff preceded her in death on April 26,1978.
On July 6, 1982, Gladys married Maurice Bewley at Miami, Okla, and they made their home on a farm north of Fall River. After Maurice’s death on May 13, 1989, she moved to Augusta where she currently made her home.
Gladys was a member of P.E.O. Chapter R at Howard, the Augusta United Methodist Church and the Round Table organization of Augusta. She was a former member of the Howard United Methodist Church in Howard.
She is survived by: step-son, Calvin Bewley of Eureka; sister, Edith Barkley of Wichita; 11 step-grandchildren and one step-greatgrandchild.
Memorials have been established with the Howard United Methodist Church and the Augusta United Methodist Church.
Zimmerman Funeral Home of Howard is in charge of arrangements, and contritions to memorials may be left here.

Christine Moulder

Christine Louise Moulder, 79, of Madison, Ala., died Thursday, Sept. 2, 1999. She grew up in Bloomington.
Internment will be in Spring-field, Mo.
She is survived by; son, Cristopher, his wife, of Madison, Ala., brother-in-law George Mabry of Augusta, niece, Carol Novak, of Augusta, sisters Verdele Rusell and Luida Red-ford, both of Wichita and two grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Charles Moulder, of Springfield, Mo. , brothers Howe Hughes and Eldon Hughes of Wichita and sister Jean(Edna Mae) Mabry of Augusta.
A memorial has been established with the National Arthritis Foundation.
