Sister Dies In Ottawa
Nellie Leora Brown, 86, Ottawa, brother of Harry McClelland of Augusta, died Tuesday at a hospital there.
Her service will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Lamb-Roberts Funeral Home in Ottawa. Rev. Ben Moor will officiate and burial will be in the Highland Cemetery there.
She was born Nov. 26, 1896 south of Pomona to James and Ella Mitchell McClelland.
She married Edward L. Brown Nov. 26, 1913 in Kansas City, Mo. He died March 5, 1952.
She and her husband owned and operator the Brown Grocery Store in Ottawa for 37 years.
Other survivors include a son, Harry E. Brown and a daughter, Jean Van Leiden, both of Ottawa; sister, Edith Guthridge of Chicago, Ill., and Faye Elder of Ottawa; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Girrens Funeral Moved To Saturday
Because of the weather, the funeral for Michael Girrens, 91, Wichita, originally scheduled for today, has been rescheduled for 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Wichita.
He was the father of Leona Schauf of rural Augusta. The Flanagan-Hunt Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

Mother Dies In California
Lucy Victoria King, 99, Wichita, mother of Albert King of Augusta, died Saturday, Feb. 5, at Modesto, Calif.
Her service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the DeVorss Mortuary in Wichita. Rev. David Felder will officiate and a private service will be in the Wichita Park Cemetery.
A memorial has been established with the Linwood Church of the Nazarene.
She was born Dec. 22, 1883 in Springfield, Mo., to Ephrim and Pollyanne Purkle Locks.
She married Ernest F. King. He died in 1937.
Other survivors include daughters, Carolee Marsh of Wichita and Clara Bingle of Modesto, Calif.; a sister, Bertha Schoolcraft of Modesto; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Nadine Little Dies In Douglass
Nadine H. Little, 49, Douglass, died Thursday, Feb. 3, at the Colonial Manor nursing home in Douglass.
Her service was at 2 p.m. today at the Douglass United Methodist Church. Rev. John Martin officiated and burial was in the Douglass Cemetery.
A memorial has been established with Multiple Sclerosis Society.
She was born Aug. 17, 1933 in Wichita to Harry I. and Edna S. Meyer Robinson.
She was a member of the Douglass United Methodist Church.
Survivors include a son, Kent Little of Johnson; a daughter, Becky Kelley of Wichita; parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Robinson of Douglass; a sister, Medrith Whitney of Douglass, and a grandchild.

Thomas Daniels Dies At 74
Thomas Corwin Daniels, 74, Udall, father of Jesse Daniels of Augusta, died Feb. 4 at his home.
His service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Senter-Smith Mortuary Chapel in Mulvane. Rev. Karl O. Magnusson will officiate and burial will be at the Stalter Cemetery in Rock.
He was born Nov. 27, 1908 in Udall to Forrest and Emma Shoemaker Daniels.
He married Jessie Beryl Morgan who preceded him in death in 1969. He married Golda R. Barger July 16, 1970 in Douglass. She survives.
This farmer also leaves another son, J.D. Daniels of Udall; a daughter, Tom Ella Polk of Douglass, Gay Meyer of Rock and Ann Young of Rose Hill; a stepson, Ralph E. Strickland of Denver, Colo.; a stepdaughter, Betty Reissig of Oklahoma City, Okla.; a sister, Beatrice Shoup of Udall; 18 grandchildren and 16-greatgrandchildren.

Sunday Funeral For Brother
Clifford Humbolt, 60, Derby, brother of Ruby MacKay of Douglass, died Wednesday, Feb. 2, at his home.
His service was at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Senter-Smith Mortuary in Mulvane. Rev. Harold Steinbach officiated and burial was in the El Paso Cemetery in Derby.
A memorial has been established with the American Lung Association.
He was born May 30, 1922 in Mulvane to Ivan Jasper and Bertha Myrtle Campbell Humbolt.
He married Pearl Barker Sept. 20, 1945 in Wichita. She survives.
This farmer also leaves a son Howard of Derby; daughters, Lilly Turner of Mulvane and Bertha Rhoads of Udall; brothers, Clyde Humbolt of Oklahoma City, Okla., Lloyd Humbolt and Joe Humbolt, both of Mulvane; another sister, Clara Rock of Derby and six grandchildren.
