David Barnes

David W. Barnes, of Birmingham, Ala. died Nov. 1, 1999.
Memorial service will be held on Friday, Nov. 5 at 11 a.m. at Elmwood Cemetery in Augusta.
He was a former pediatric dentist.
He is survived by his wife Carol Ann, sons Todd C. of Monroe, La., Scott L. of Houston, Texas, Clayton D. of Lincoln, Neb., daughter Amy Elizabeth of St. Louis, Mo., brother Dr. Thomas Barnes of Wichita and sister Trudy B. Sammer of Franklin, Tenn.
Memorials may be sent to the American Heart Association.
Dunsford Funeral Home of Augusta is in charge of local arrangements.

Frank Leiker

Angelus Frank Leiker, 80, of Augusta died Thursday, Nov. 4, 1999.
A Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, Nov. 6 at 10:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church , in Ness City with Fr. Gregory LeBlanc presiding. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
Friends may call today from 5 to 9 p.m. and Sat. from 8 to 10 a.m. at Fitzgerald Funeral Home in Ness City.
He was bom Nov. 7, 1918 in Munjor to Joseph M. and Pauline Leiker.
He married Catherine Landwehr in Ransom on Oct. 15, 1947.
He was an automotive parts manager fro the Ness City motor Company for 22 year. He was a member of St. James Catholic church and a Marine veteran of WWII.
He is survived by his wife, son Gerald of Wichita, daughters Janice Yarbrough, of El Dorado, Sandra Hahn of Ft. Collins, Colo., brothers Alban and Elmer both of Topeka and six grandchildren.
Memorials may be sent to the American Cancer Society.

‘Bob’ Crowley

Bobby Richard Crowley, 72, of Augusta died today, Sept. 17, 1999.
His funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, Sept. 20, 1999 at Dunsford Chapel in Augusta, burial will be at Elmwood Cemetery.
He was born Aug. 19,1927 to John Richard and Winona Crowley.
He was a World War II veteran and a retired rancher.
He is survived by son Mitchell,of Siloam Springs, Ark., daughters Cheri Oden, of Anchorage, Ak.., Chris Rains, of Newkirk, Okla., Carrie Filt-ingberger, of Sedan, and Shannon Crowley, of Augusta, brother John Crowley III, of Midland, Texas, seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son Brent.
L.M. Lineback
Lawrence M. Lineback, 94, of Augusta died Sept. 16, 1999.
Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 18 at the Old Mission Cemetery in Wichita. Rev. Tiger Moses of the Assembly of God Church in Leon will officiate.
Mr. Lineback was bom Oct. 8, 1904 in El Dorado to Charles and Estella Lineback.
He is survived by, nephews Charles Ullum, of Leon, and Kenneth Ullum, of Crosstimbers, Mo., and niece Betty Ruth Wickham, of Renton, Wash.

Raymond Freese

Raymond Arthur Freese, 82, of Augusta died today, Sept. 17, 1999.
His funeral services are pending at Hillside Funeral Home Augusta.
He was born July 24,1917 in Alpena, Mich, and was self employed as a cement finisher.
He is survived by sons Russell, and Timothy, both of Michigan and Thomas, of Brownwood, Texas; daughters Rayanne Silvis of Augusta, Penni Freese of Flint Mich.; stepsons Robert Burkett, of Kinde, Mich..Walter Burkett, of Abermarle, N.C; stepdaughters Wanetia Slater of Greenup, Ky., and Cheryl Coppler, of Oscoda, Mich.,and brother Wellington Freese of Mio, Mich.

‘Bill’ McBee

William “Bill” McBee, 53 of Atlanta, died Sunday, Sept. 19,1999 in an airplane crash near Atlanta.
Witnesses said the left wing of McBee’s aerobatic plane suddenly dipped before the aircraft plunged to the ground, about a quarter mile south of the airstrip.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. tonight at Miles Funeral Home in Winfield.
His funeral services will be the following day, Thursday, Sept. 23 at 2 p.m. at Miles Funeral Home in Winfield.
Mr. McBee was a 1964 graduate of Augusta High School.
He operated a trucking concern and was an aerobatic pilot.
He is survived by his wife Toni, son Joe McBee, daughter Darla Graham all of Atlanta, mother Ida May McBee, of Augusta, brothers Mike McBee, of Calahan, Fla., Jerry McBee, of Mulvane and two grandchildren.
Son Joe was flying with his father at the time of the accident and was taken to a Wichita hospital where he was reported in serious condition.
