Lillian R. Davis

Lillian R. Davis, 80, Augusta, died Saturday, Jan. 8, 2000, in Augusta.
Her funeral service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 12, at Dunsfords Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor James L. Noeller, Maple Street Baptist Church, Oxford, will officiate. Burial will be in Andover Cemetery.
She was born April 19, 1919, in Stone County, Mo., as the daughter of Washington M. and Ila Baugh Wade.
On Sept. 14, 1942, she married Bruce Davis in Ozark, Mo. He survives.
Mrs. Davis was a homemaker. In addition to her husband, she leaves a son Alvie Douglas Davis and his wife Judy, of Charleston, Ill., and two grandaughters, Amy Elizabeth Davis Ealy, Urbana, Ill., and Emily Victoria Davis, Charleston, Ill.
In addition, a sister survives, Maxine Hyde, Kansas City, Mo.
The Dunsford Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Lex W. Jones

Retired Augusta postmaster Lex Warren Jones, 76, died Monday, May 1, 2000.
His graveside service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 3, at Elmwood Cemetery.
Visitation is possible from 4 to 8 p.m. today in the Dunsford Funeral Home Chapel.
Mr. Jones leaves daughters Kay Jones and Lexanna Jones-Alien, both of Augusta; sisters, Geraldine Jones and Jean Jones, both of Augusta; brother, Fred Jones of Sun City, Ariz.
The Dunsford Funeral Home of Augusta is in charge of arrangements.

W.H. Beaumont

William Howard Beaumont, 71, Mt. Hope, father of Linda K. Simon, Augusta, died Wednesday, Jan. 5, 2000, in Cheney.
His funeral will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 8, at Wulf-Ast Mortuary Chapel in Garden Plain
A graveside services will be 3 p.m. tomorrow at the Longton Cemetery, Longton. Rev. Joseph Cunningham will officiate.
He was bom May 15, 1928, at Longton as the son of Otto Beaumont and Florence Smith Beaumont.
He married Gertrude Lewis Beaumont in 1946 in Independence. She survives.
Mr. Beaumont worked most of his life in the aircraft industy.
In addition to his wife, he leaves two sons, Larry K Beamount of Andale, and Steven C. Beaumont of Towanda, eight grandchildren, and nine greatgrandchildren.
Memorials to the American Diabetes Association have been suggested.
Arrangements are by Wulf-Ast Mortuary, Garden Plain.

Zelma Stebbins

Zelma Aleitha Stebbins, 90, Augusta, died Thursday, Jan. 6, 2000, at the Augusta Medical Complex Long Term Care.
Her funeral will be a graveside service 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 10, 2000, at Douglass Cemetery. Rev. Ron Keith will officiate.
She was born Aug. 23, 1909, in Harper County, Oklahoma, as the daughter of James Riley Edwards and Dora Bell Crissup.
She was married twice, first to Julius Stebbens, and then to Ralph Stebbins. Both preceded her in death.
Mrs. Stebbins was a homemaker and a retired grocery store owner.
She is survived by her daughter Marlene Little, Jay, Oklahoma, and a stepson, Robert Stebbins, Rockwell, Texas. Her sson, Donnie Dwight Stebbens is deceased.
Two sisters survive, Gladys Payton, Wichita, and Betty Shaffer, Leon. Five brothers and two sisters are deceased.
In addition, she is survived by three grandchildren and five step-grandchildren; four greatgrandchildren and four step-great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. Three grandchildren preceded her in death.
Augusta Senior Center, 640 Osage, Augusta, Ks. 67010, and Douglass Senior Center, P.O. Box 362, Douglass, Ks. 67039 have been designated memorials.
Hillside Funeral Home Augusta is in charge of arrangements.
