Margaret Proctor
Margaret Louise Proctor, 82, Augusta, died Saturday, Jan. 29, 2000, in Susan B. Allen Hospital, El Dorado.
Her funeral will be held at the United Methodist Church of Augusta, at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 2. Rev. Vern Bowers will officiate. Visitation will be Monday and Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. on Monday and Tuesday at Dunsford FuneralHome. After the service, interment will take place at ElmwoodCemetery,Augusta.
Margaret Proctor was born July 22, 1917, in Iola as the daughter of Katherine A. Bevan and Bert Morris Coutant.
On March 21, 1936, she was married to Warren Proctor in a ceremony in Oskaloosa. He survives.
She was a graduate of the University of Kansas School of Liberal Arts and Sciences, and she was a homemaker and Butler county resident for over 60 years.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church, the Augusta Medical Complex Auxiliary, and Sorosis Club.
Mrs. Proctor is survived by one son, Robert Proctor, MD., El Dorado, and three daughters, Anne P. Williams, Victoria, Texas; Elaine Cannon, Lenexa; and Martha Proctor Riedl, Leon; 11 grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
In addition, she leaves behind two sisters Katherine Ruth Brazee, McAlester, Okla., and Barbara Cole, Kansas City, Mo.
Mrs. Proctor’s grandsons will serve as her pallbearers; they are Wesley Cannon, Lenexa; Alan Proctor, Hays; Wayne Proctor, El Dorado; James Williams, Austin, Texas; Stephen Williams, Sunnyvale, Calif., and Thomas Williams, Clear Lake City, Tex. Honorary pallbearers are members of the Christian Forum Sunday School Class, United Methodist Church, Augusta.
A Memorial to the United Methodist Church Organ Maintenance Fund has been suggested.
Dunsford Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Richard LaFevre

Word has been received here that former Augustan Richard LaFevre of Beaumont, Texas, died Wednesday, March 1, 2000.
Funeral arrangements were pending this morning in Texas.

Frank M. Cluster

Frank M. Cluster, 75, Augusta, died Tuesday, Feb. 29, 2000.
His funeral service will be 11 a.m. Friday, March 3, at the Lakeview Funeral Home in Wichita.
Mr. Cluster had worked a shipping and receiving foreman for Flambeau Manufacturing.
He leaves a wife, Mildred; sons, Paul Cluster and Phillip, both of Haysville; daughter, Eva Smith of Rose Hill; sisters, Ruth Wiseman of Frost Proof, Fla., and Margaret Horn of North Bend, Ore.; 10 grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
Memorials to the American Heart Association have been suggested. _______

Kenneth L. Ayers

Kenneth L. Ayers, 83, Augusta, died Wednesday, Feb. 2, 2000 at the Wesley Medical
Center in Wichita.
His funeral service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 5, at Hillside Funeral Home Augusta. Burial will be in the Leon Cemetery.
There will be a visitation at the funeral home here from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 4.
He was born Dec. 13, 1916 in Wellington.
Kenneth married Juaneita Turner on Aug. 19, 1936. They lived on a farm near Leon.
In addition to his wife, he leaves three children, Terry Ayers of Conway, S.C., Norma Ayers of Wichita, and Wanda Thompson of El Dorado, and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Shelba.

Fred W. Halbkat

A memorial service for Frederick W. Halbkat, 86, Augusta, will be held at 2 p.m. tomorrow, Feb. 5, at Cottonwood Point where he was a resident.
Halbkat died Tuesday, Feb. 2, 2000, at Susan B. Allen Hospital in El Dorado.
He was born Nov. 4, 1913 in Webster, S.D., as the son of Franklin Halbkat and Ethel Walker Halbkat.
He married the former Jeanne Ryberg Feb. 4, 1939 in Houston, Texas. She preceded him in death.
Mr. Halbkat was a retired attorney and practice law in Houston for 50 years.
He leaves daughters, Helen Randall of Rose Hill, and Carolyn Heideman of Denver, Colo.; a brother, John Halbkat of Webster, S.D., and five grandchildren.
The Dunsford Funeral Home of Augusta is in charge of arrangements.
