Wilbur Jones

Wilbur Jones of Augusta died today, Feb. 2, 2000.
His funeral arrangements were pending this morning at the Dunsford Funeral Home of Augusta.

Kathryn Prigmore

Kathryn Prigmore, 93, mother of Jean Weiss of Augusta, died Monday, Jan. 31, 2000.
Her funeral service will be 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 3, at the Broadway Christian Church in Wichita. Burial will follow in White Chapel Memorial Gardens.
She was born Oct. 26, 1096 in Savannah, Mo., as the daughter of James and Nellie Sears.
She married Benjamin Prigmore who preceded her in death.
In addition to Mrs. Weiss, she leaves daughters Marilyn O’Connor of Wichita; sister Vivian Probst of Wichita; eighth grandchildren, and 11 greatgrandchildren.
A memorial has been established with the Broadway Christian Church in Wichita.
The Broadway Mortuary in Wichita is in charge of arrangements.

Robert Peeler

Leon native Robert D. Peeler, 80, Victoria, Texas, died Monday, Jan. 31, 2000.
His funeral service will be 10 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 3, at the Grace Presbyterian Church in Victoria with ministers Kris Crawford and Dan Trevino officiating. Burial will be in the Memory Gardens Cemetery there with military honors.
He was born Aug. 11, 1919 in Leon as the son of Robert D. Peebler Sr. and Margaret Jeffries Peebler.
Mr. Peebler was a retired salesman.
He leaves his wife, Gloria Jean, of the home; daughter, Carol Marie Coley of Indian Wells, Calif.;
son, Robert D. Peeler III of Stanwood, Wash,; sisters, Carol Jean Herman of St. Peter, Mo. and Peggy Joyce of Iran, Texas; brother, Richard Peebler of Lufkin, Texas; six grandchildren, and one greatgrandchild.
Memorials to the American Cancer Society and the Grace Presbyterian Church have been suggested.
Artero Memorial Chapels of Victoria, Texas, is in charge of arrangements.

Connor Johnson

Connor Otto Johnson, infant son of Tim and Mandy Johnson of Wichita, died Saturday, Jan. 29, 2000.
A private funeral service was planned.
Maryetta and Scott Johnson of Augusta are great-grandparents.
In addition to the great-grandparents here, the infant is survived by grandparents, Glenn and Bonnie Johnson of North Platte, Neb., Ron and Darla Kerns of Goddard, Barbara Johnson of St. Louis, Mo.: great-grandparents Iola Johnson of North Platte, Mary Bruknen of Holyoke, Colo., Gerald and Maxine Barker of Sycamore; several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Memorials to Trisomy 18 Research and Support have been suggested.
Resthaven Mortuary of Wichita had charge of arrangements.

Kathy Bordigon

Former Augusta teacher Kathy Lynn Bordigon, 48, Andover, died Friday, March 3, 2000.
Her funeral service will be 4 p.m. Thursday, March 9, at the Countryside Christian Church in Andover.
She was a teacher for the learning disabled at Benton Elementary School.
Downing & Lahey Mortuary East of Wichita is in charge of arrangements.

Wilbur A. Jones

Wilbur A. Jones, 79, died Wednesday, Feb. 2, 2000.
His funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, Feb. 27, at First Baptist Church of Augusta. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
There will be a visitation from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 6, at the Dunsford Funeral Home chapel at 201 E. Fifth.
He was born Nov. 2, 1920 in Lamar, Colo., as the son of Arundle Jones and Emma Frances Christensen Jones.
On April 7, 1945, he and Alta Mae Bruner were united in marriage in Wichita. She survives.
Mr. Jones was a retired mechanic for Boeing Aircraft.
In addition to his wife, he leaves sons, Jack Jones of Wichita, Kenneth Jones of Puyallup, Wash.; daughters, Judy Van Ormer of El Dorado, and Janette Edgecombe of Baldwin, Mo.; brothers, Gerald Jones of Cedar Hill, Mo.„ Garland Jones of O’Fallon. Mo.,
and Robert Jones of St. Louis, Mo.; three grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
The grandchildren are Beverly Flowers, Russell Edgecombe, and Willis Van Ormer. The great-grandchildren are Tina and B.J. Flowers, and Alec Edgecombe.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Augusta.
The Dunsford Funeral Home of Augusta is in charge of arrangements.
