Rebecca Nimrod
Rebecca Sue Nimrod, 57, Augusta, died Monday, Feb. 14, 2000, at the Wesley Medical Center in Wichita.
Her funeral service will be 1 p.m. Friday, Oct. 18, at the Haverhill Christian Church, east of Augusta and north of old U.S. 54 highway on Haverhill Road. Pastor Chuck Terrill will conduct the service and burial will be at Old Mission Cemetery in Wichita.
She was born Sept. 6, 1942 in Arkansas City as the daughter of Patrick Henry and Mildred Murphy Henry.
Mrs. Nimrod had a bachelor of arts degree in clinical psychology as well as a master of arts in clinical psychology from Wichita State University.
She and Galend L. Nimrod were married Aug. 13, 1998. He survives.
In addition to her husband, she leaves son Brian Pinkston of Augusta; daughter, Teresa Drin-nen of El Dorado; sister, Lucille Schultz of Arkansas City; and seven grandchildren.
The Hillside Funeral Home Augusta is in charge of arrangement.
Ada Dorland
Former Augusta resident Ada Adelia Bliss Dorland, 87, died Tuesday, March 7, at the Labette County Medical Center in Parsons.
Her funeral service will be 2 p.m. Friday, March 10, at the Dunsford Funeral Home of Augusta. Rev. John Bliss of Council Grove First Baptist Church will officiate and burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
She was born April 9, 1912 at Chetopa as the daughter of Peter James Dorsey and Julia Pettsenberger Dorsey.
She worked as an engineer’s assistant in the aircraft industry.
At different times, she worked at Boeing, Beech, and Cessna facilities in Wichita.
Mrs. Dorland leaves sons, Rev. John Bliss of Council Grove, William “Bill” Bliss of Wichita; brother, Jimmy Dorsey of Medford, Ore.; sisters, Katherine Moser of Colorado Springs, Colo., Mary Pinkerton of Fortuna, Calif.; 11 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchil-dren.
Memorials to the Prairie Mission Retirement Village at St. Paul, Kan. 66771 have been suggested.
The Dunsford Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Beaulah Moon
Former Augusta resident Beaulah M. Moon, 95, Ballwin, Mo., died Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2000 at St. John’s Mercy Hospital in Creve Couer, Mo.
Her funeral service will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 29, at the Augusta First United Methodist Church, 2420 N. Ohio. Rev. C.R.Macchi of Augusta First Baptist Church will officiate and burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
Family members will receive friends at the
Dunsford Funeral Home of Augusta from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, Feb. 28.
She was born June 7, 1904 as the daughter of John Frederich and Cora Mae (Monroe) Reinert at their home in Greensburg.
She was a graduate of Cimarron High School in 1921 and attended Bethany College at Lindsborg for three years.
She taught school in Cottonwood Falls and Whiting for five years.
On Dec. 25, 1935, she married Charles W. Moon at Hois-ington. They made their home in Augusta. He preceded her in death in 1961.
After the death of her husband, Mrs. Moon was a housemother at Bethany College for six years before moving to Hois-ington to care for her sisters. In 1984, she moved to Augusta and made her home here until June 1998 when she moved to Ballwin, Mo., to live with her daughter.
Mrs. Moon was an active member of the Augusta First United Methodist Church, the former 20th Century Club, and the former Music Club of Augusta.
She leaves daughters, Virginia Alley (son-in-law Mark Alley), Margaret Nicholson (son-in-law Jim Nicholson) of Ballwin and daughter-in-law Judi Moon, also of Ballwin. She leaves 14 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. Granddaughters Kristen Martin and Amy Alley live in Augusta.
She was also preceded in death by a son, Hugh, three sisters, and a brother.
Memorials to the Augusta First United Methodist Church are suggested.

Carroll Eugene “Gene” Kitch, 50, died Monday, May 8, 2000. .
His funeral service will be 2 p.m. Thursday, May 11, in the Hillside Funeral Home Augusta Chapel.
This Burlington Northern-Santa Fe worker leaves his wife, Linda of Augusta; sons, Paul Leroy Kitch of Port Huron, Mich., and
Robert Eugene Kitch of Augusta; daughter, Tanny Jean Reynolds of Independence; brothers, Charles Kitch and Ernest Kitch, both of Columbus, and nine grandchildren.
