W.J. Moeller
Former Augustan W.J. “Bill” Moeller, 78, died June 6,2000 in Cleburne, Texas.
His funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 10, at the Dunsford Funeral Home of Augusta. Burial will be in the Leon Cemetery.
He was born Feb. 9, 1922 in Riverview Township of South Dakota.
Mr. Moeller was a U.S. Army veteran and a retired mechanic from Cessna Aircraft.
He leaves his wife, Cornelia of Cleburne,Texas; sons, Robert Rose of Cleburne and Larry Rose of Wichita; daughters, Cheryl Moeller and Cindy Pereira, both of Wichita, and Glenda Baker of Groesbeck, Texas.; brother, Alfred Moeller of DeSmet, S.D.; sisters-in-law, Olive Goodnight of Augusta and
Lorene Moss of Wichita, 10 grandchildren, and one greatgrandchild.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Betty (Cassity) Moeller in 1979.
Memorials to the American Heart Association have been suggested.
The Dunsford Funeral Home of Augusta is in charge of arrangements.
Ellen Sims
Ellen Delores Sandifer Sims, daughter of pastor R.C. and Donna Sandifer of Trumpets of the Lord Ministries in Augusta, died Thursday, June 22, 2000.
She will be be buried Tuesday, June 27, in Anacoco, La. Her father will officiate the service.
Mrs. Sims took ill Memorial Day weekend and had been an ICU patient in Houston, Texas.
In addition to her parents here, she leaves her husband pastor Lee Sims; son Joshua, and daughter Monqiue.
She and her husband ministered to the poor and needy through the Immanuel Congregational Methodist Church.
Fern Pray
Fern (Smith) Pray, 90, Wichita, sister to several Augusta residents, died Monday, June 5, 2000.
Her funeral service will be 10 a.m. Saturday, June 10, at the Anchor Baptist Church in Wichita.
Ms. Pray leaves sons, Ira E. Pray of Wichita and Don E. Pray of Sisters, Ore.; brother, Ed Wilson of Augusta; sisters, Eleanor Crowder, Betty Hutter, Donna Marshall, and Mary Eastin, all of Augusta; five grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and 16 great-greatgrandchildren.
Memorials to Homestead Health Center at 2133 S. Elizabeth, Wichita, 67213 or The Salvation Army at 350 N. Market, Wichita, 67202 have been suggested.
The Downing-Lahey Mortuary of Wichita was in charge of arrangements.
Capitola Branstetter
Capitola (Frye) Branstetter, 77, Augusta, died Thursday, Sept. 21, 2000.
There will be no service.
In addition to her son, Jerry Branstetter of Augusta, she is survived by her daughter, Alice Howard of Augusta; one brother, Forest Frye of Maize, and two grandchildren.
Dunsford Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Charles Quiring
Charles Quiring, 70 of Augusta died Tuesday, June 20, 2000.
His funeral service was at 1:30 this afternoon, June 23, at First Christian Church, Augusta. Burial was in Wichita Park Cemetery, Wichita.
Visitation was held yesterday at Dunsford Chapel.
He was born in Whittier, Calif, to John and Helen Forger Quiring. He was a retired chemist for Mobil Oil.
Charles was a veteran of Korean War, POW, received Purple Heart, and a Presidential Unit Citation W/l.
He is survived by his wife, Doris Quiring; son Charles E. Quiring Jr.; daughters, Sharon Tabor of Augusta, Carolyn Johnson of Cheyenne, Wyo.. and Serena Eastridge of Benton; sisters, Marie Cadwell of Bellflower, Calif., and Adele McWhortor both Anaheim, Calif.; brother Bill Quiring of Hillsboro, Calif.; 11 grandchildren and two greatgrandchildren.
Memorials maybe made to Korean Memorial or American Heart Association.
