George Blythe
Retired Boeing sheet metal mechanic and Augusta park maintenance contractor George (Glen) Blythe, 85, Augusta, died Monday, Aug. 21, 2000.
His service will be 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 25, at Christ Lutheran Church, Kelly & Cron. Burial will be at Old Mission cemetery in Wichita.
He is survived by his five sons, Jerry Blythe of Riverside, Calif.., Joe Blythe of Brighton, Colo., Larry Blythe of Towanda, Don Goucher of Pahrump, Nev., and Lynn Goucher of El Dorado; four daughters, Orlenda Nickum of Midwest City, Okla., Roberta Alfaro and Lois Chance, both of Augusta, and Kay Hill of Home City; 41 grandchildren, 94 greatgrandchildren, and eight great-great-grandchildren.
Mr. Blythe was preceded in death by his first wife, Pauline Williams Blythe in 1958. He married Ella Goucher in 1970 and she preceded him in 1997. Daughter Gerry Berger died in 1998. He was also preceded by four grandchildren.
Memorials to Christ Lutheran Church have been suggested.

Mary B. Shoults
Former Augustan Mary Beth Shoults, 70, Tonkawa, Okla., died Saturday, Sept. 9, 2000.
Her graveside service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 12, at Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery in Ardmore, Okla.
She was a member of the Lakeview Bible Baptist Church on Augusta.
In addition to her son, Larry Grover of Carrollton, Texas, she leaves one brother, Charlie Smith of Paris, Texas; two sisters, Alberta Stovall and Dorothy Goad, both of Ponca City, Okla.
McCafferty-Bolick Funeral Home of Tonkawa is in charge of arrangements.
Norma Broomfield
Norma Jean Broomfield, 73, Augusta, died Tuesday, Aug. 29, 2000.
Her funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, Sept. 1 at First Baptist Church . Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
She is survived by four daughters, Janice Kittle, Sumter, SC; Julie Hoffman, Augusta; Mary Kay Lancaster, Wichita; Barbara Broomfield, Augusta; one son, John Broomfield, Towanda; three sisters, Donna Duncan, Augusta, Peggy Cheek, Bartlesville, Okla., and Karen White, Augusta; one brother, Bill Keethler, Augusta, and nine grandchildren.
Memorials to the First Baptist Church have been suggested.

William D. Lamar, 82, Augusta, died Tuesday, Aug. 29, 2000.
His funeral service will be 1:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 1, at the Dunsford Funeral Chapel.
In addition to his wife, Pearl, he leaves two sons, Billy Joe Lamar of Deerfield, Colo., and Bobby Fene Lamar of McPherson; three daughters, Shirley Ann Sell of Strasburg, Colo., Mary Berrie of Augusta, and Virginia Buttermore of Salina; one brother, Joe Lamar of Neosho, Mo.; four sisters, Juanita Bush of Neosho, Mo., Mildred Shambliss of Coffeyville, Idabel Conness, of Neosho, Mo., and Zoro Welch of Denver, Colo.; 14 grandchildren and 36 great-grandchildren.

Former Augusta resident Harold A. Crockett, 90, died Saturday, Aug. 26, 2000 at the Village Manor Nursing Home in Ottawa.
His funeral service will be .10 a.m. tomorrow, Aug. 30, at the Dengel & Son Mortuary in Ottawa. Burial will be in the, cemetery at Gardner.
Mr.Crockett leaves sons, Daniel Crockett of Glendale, Ariz., Hank Crockett of El Dorado, Stephen Crockett of Atlantic City, N.J., and Doug Crockett of Emporia; daughters Jerrie Macomber of Wichita, Saralou Crockett and Ivalee Dougherty, both of Topeka. Debby Jacobsen of Muskegon, Minn., andCatherine Casey of Overland Park; sister, Doris Patterson, and 20 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his mother, father, wife, a son, a sister, and a brother.
Roberta E Gilson
Homemaker Roberta E Gilson, 77, Augusta, died Monday, Sept. 4, 2000.
Her funeral service will be 1
p.m. Thursday, Sept. 7, at the Hillside Funeral Home in Augusta.
In addition to her husband, Paul John Gilson, she leaves two daughters, Faye Lynn Boley of Augusta, and Velta Jane Sitsler, who’s address is unknown; a sister, Wanda Carlon of Shawnee, Ok; and a grandson, Kyle Boley of Augusta.
Memorials to the First Church of the Nazarene have been suggested.
