Connie McMurphy

Constance “Connie” J. McMurphy, 62, died Saturday, Oct. 21, 2000.
Her funeral service will be held 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 25, at First Baptist Church of Augusta, State & Kelly.
She was born July 30, 1938 in El Dorado to Curtis and Olive Richey.
On March 21, 1959, Connie married Ted McMurphy. They made their home in Augusta.
She was homemaker, and later worked at Boeing as an executive secretary.
She was a member of the Augusta Public Library Board, an active member of Junior Forum, and was a deaconess at the First Baptist Church of Augusta.
Mrs. McMurphy is survived by her husband, Ted McMurphy; son and daughter-in-law, Patrick and Chrystal McMurphy all of Augusta; her father, Curtis Richey of Augusta; sister and brother-in-law, Claudia and Jerry Richey of Wichita; and grandchildren, Scott and Jonathan McMurphy, both of Augusta.
Hillside Funeral Home of Augusta is in charge of arrangements.
Memorials have been established with First Baptist Church of Augusta dishwasher fund for the CLC, First Baptist Church of Augusta Library fund, and the Augusta Public Library.

Wilda M. Myers

Homemaker Wilda Malvina Myers, 98, Augusta, died Monday, Oct. 30, 2000.
Her funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, Nov, 3, 2000 at the Mulvane Methodist Church in Mulvane. Internment will be at the Mulvane Cemetery.
Visitation will be posible at the Dunsford Funeral Home between 2 and 8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 2.
Wilda was
born at Hai-leyville of Oklahoma Indian Territory, Oct. 14, 1902 to Abram and Wilda Dye. She graduated from Mulvane High School in 1920 and married John Orville Myers July 24, 1921. She and John moved to Augusta in 1930.
She was an active member of the First United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday School classes for many years. She was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.
The important things in her life were her relationship with her Savior, Jesus Christ, her husband and family, and friends.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to The American Heart Association, the library at First
United Methodist Church of Augusta, Kansas, or the charity of choice.
Wilda was preceded in death by her husband John, an infant son John Jr., and her son Billy Dean.
Wilda is survived by her brothers Abe Dye of Wichita, Max Dye and his wife Iris of Salina, daughter-in-law, Hazel Myers of Arlington Texas, granddaughter Sharon Compton and her husband Jim of Huntsville, Ala., andgrandson Steve Myers and his wife Sheri of McAllen, Texas, grandson Mark Myers and his wife Sherri of Arlington, Texas, great grandchildren Tracey Miller and husband David of Alabama, Clinton Myers, Stephanie, Stetson, and Seleste Smith, all of Texas, and a great-great granddaughter Ash-lyn Miller of Alabama, as well as many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to express their sincere gratitude and thanks to he staff of Augusta Medical Complex and all of her friends and family for the care and loving visitation that they provided.
