Lloyd Mackey

Lloyd E. Mackey, 69, Beech Aircraft experimental sheet metal employee of Wichita and father of Patsy Mitchell of Augusta, died Saturday, March 3,2001.
His funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 7, at Amidon Street Baptist Church in Wichita.
Visitation will be possible from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 6, at Hillside Funeral Home West.
Mr. Mackey is survived by his wife, Melba; son Steven of Wichita; daughters, Patsy Mitchell of Augusta, Vickie Dumler of Wichita; grandchildren, Justin Mitchell, Tiffany Barker, Kelsey Mackey, Brecken Mackey; great-grandchildren, Erik Ward, Dylan Barker, Makalee Mitchell.
A memorial has been established with Amidon Street Baptist Church.

Maggie Higdon

Maggie Higdon, 94, retired elementary school teacher of Douglass, died Tuesday March 6, 2001.
A graveside service will be held for her at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 10, at Douglass Cemetery.
Mrs. Higdon is survived by daughters, Phyllis Higdon of Eugene, Ore., Sue Leabo of Northridge, Calif.; grandchildren, Mark Leabo of Emeryville, Calif., Sarah Leabo of Eugene Ore.; several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Higdon taught at Cottage Grove School in Ore.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Phil; son, Doyle.
Hillside Funeral Home in Augusta is in charge of arrangements.

Alberta Doyle

Retired El Dorado High School teacher Alberta Doyle, 97, Douglass, died Friday, March 2, 2001.
Her graveside service will be 10 a.m. Saturday, March 10, at the Douglass Cemetery.
She was a sister of Maggie Higdon, whose obituary is above.
She leaves a nephew Patrick ยป Doyle of Derby; nieces Sally Baker of Granbury,Texas, Phyllis Higdon of Eugene, Ore., Sue Leabo of Northridge, Colo., and Della Moore, address unknown.
Ms. Doyle is also survived by several great and great-great nieces and nephews.
The Hillside Funeral Home in Augusta is in charge of arrangements.

Augusta, died Wednesday, March 7,2001. Her funeral arrangements were pending this morning.
She was a member of Augusta First United Methodist Church.
Dunsford Funeral Home of Augusta is in charge of arrangements.

Roy E. Williams

Roy E. Williams, 84, Leon, retired self-employed dairy industry worker and step-father of Bud Carel of Augusta, died Tuesday, March 6, 2001.
A private service is planned.
He is survived by his wife, Claudette; sons, Robert of Ponca City, Okla., Barry of Soap Lake, Wash.; daughters, Shirley Crietz of San Jose, Calif., Barbara Landers of Statesville, N.C., Judy Lay of Caldwell, Idaho; stepson, Bud Carel of Augusta; stepdaughter, Carolyn Drechsler of Wichita; brothers, Elden of Modesto, Calif., Doyle, Curtis both of Ceres, Calif., Dean of Ely, Nev., Harlan of Columbia, Calif.; sister, Jean Carpenter of Ozark, Mo.; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Charles Harrington

Charles Harrington, 79, of Buena Vista, Colo, and former Augusta resident, died Saturday, Feb. 17, 2001.
No services were held.
Mr. Harrington was born in Augusta and served in the Air Force during World War II. He retired to Buena Vista after 40 years in the aerospace industry.
Mr. Harrington is survived by his wife, Helen; son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Marsha Harrington of Aurora; son, Patrick of Littleton; two grandchildren, Brian and Katie of
Denver.
