Fern W. Brougher

Fern W. Brougher, 98, retired farmer of Howard and father of Barbara Gaffney of Augusta, died Thursday, April 12, 2001.
Services will be held today at 2 p.m, Monday, April 16 at Grace Lawn Cemetery.
Mr. Brougher is survived by son, Wayne of Eureka; daughters, Betty Bolt of El Dorado, Barbara Gaffney of Augusta; sisters, Maxine Ronsick of Wichita; Helen Braden of Eureka; three grandchildren.
A memorial has been established with Howard Twilight Manor Nursing Home.
Zimmerman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Eva Ellen Royse

Eva Ellen (Clark) Royse, 91, homemaker of Marion and mother of Charles Royse of Augusta, died Thursday, April 12, 2001.
Her funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. today, Monday, April 16, at Baker Funeral Home in Peabody.
Mrs. Royse is survived by sons, Charles of Augusta, Gene of Wichita; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren.
Memorials have been established with Catholic Care Center and Laurie Care Center, Laurie, Mo.

Bessie Valentine Shatell, 91, retired Boeing Aircraft employee of Huntsville, Ala., formerly of Augusta, died Saturday, April 14, 2001.
Her funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, April 19, 2001 at Dunsford Funeral Home in Augusta. Visitation with family may be made from 5 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, April 18.
Mrs. Shatell is survived by sons, Russell Applegate, Elkmont, Ala., Max Applegate, Gig Harbor, Wash.; grandsons, Ricky, Mark, Larry and Russell Joe Jr. Applegate; granddaughters, Donna Kaiser, Deborah Applegate, Diana Johnson; brother, James Henry Apple-gate, Oil Field, Mo.; sister-in-law, Leona Patterson, Augusta; eight great-grandchildren.
Dunsford Funeral Home of Augusta is in charge of arrangements.

William E. Albers

William Edward “Bill” Albers, 52, of Augusta, died Sunday, May 27, 2001.
Visitation will be from 1 to 8 p.m. Thursday, May 31, at Dunsford Funeral Home. His funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday, June 1, at Collyer (Kan.) Cemetery.
Mr. Albers was born Oct. 12, 1948 in Quinter, to the late Clifton Harold Albers and Mabel Gladys Spena.
He is survived by sisters and brother-in-law, Deloras and Roland Bushey of Augusta, Ruby Albers of Collyer; several nephews and nieces.

Former Augusta resident Claire “Joan” Noeller, 67, retired Beech Aircraft Corp. crew chief of Wichita, died Sat-urday, April 14, 2001
Visitation with family will be from 6 to 7 p.m. today. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, both at Geisendorf-Rush Smith Funeral Home in Salina.
Mrs. Noeller is survived by husband, John; sons, Richard of Fredonia, Bob of York,S.C., Walter of Salina, John of Smolan; sister, Betty Mintener of Tribune; ten grand-children; seven great-grandchildren.
A memorial has been established with Kansas Dialysis Association.
