Garland Bare Dies At 74
Garland Bare, 74, rural Douglass, died last night at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita.
His service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the United Methodist Church in Douglass. Burial will be in the Douglass cemetery.
He was born Oct. 13 1908 to James Arthur and Anna Brown Bare on the family in homestead near Douglass.
He married Mildred Maxwell May 17, 1930. She survives.
He was a farmer and cattleman. He was also a Mason.
He was an avid fisherman.
Other survivors include three daughters, Deborah Hinnen and Diane Mann, both of rural Augusta, and Marilyn Schulze of El Dorado; a brother, Charles Bare of Idaho Springs, Colo., and a sister, Mary Darter of Douglass.

Father Dies In Wichita
Charles Ray “Rock” Wakefield, 57, Wichita, father of Charles Wakefield of Augusta, died Thursday at the St. Joseph Medical Center in Wichita.
His service was at 10 a.m. today at the Resthaven Mortuary. Chaplain Kenneth Cannaday officiated and burial was at the Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
He was born Dec. 14, 1925 in Goddard to Charles F. and Sarah Ellen Nolte Wakefield.
He married Dorothy C. Bosley May 8, 1948 in Wichita. She survives.
He was retired produce man for Hillside IGA store in Wichita.
He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
Other survivors include another son, T.W. Wakefield of Wichita; two brothers, Nolte Wakefield of Wichita and Melvin Wakefield of Noel, Mo., and four grandchildren.

Memorial Set For G.B. Bare
The family of Garland B. Bare, 74, rural Douglass, has established a wildlife memorial at the Exchange State Bank in Douglass.
Bare, a lifelong rural Douglass resident, died Sunday at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita.
His service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the United Methodist Church in Douglass. Rev. Jack Toman will officiate and burial will be in the Douglass Cemetery.
He was an avid fisherman and a member of the Douglass Masonic Lodge.
Survivors include his wife, Mildred Maxwell Bare of the home; three daughters, Deborah Hinnen and Diane Mann, both of rural Augusta, and Marilyn Schulze of El Dorado; 12 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Breaks’ Son Dies At 59
Robert Waldo Break, 59, Lindsay, Okla., son of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Wilson Break of Augusta, died March 8 in Lindsay.
His service was March 10 at the United Methodist Church there.
He was born Jan. 7, 1942 in Florence.
He married Edith Irene Lambert March 5, 1944 in Kansas City. She survives.
He was a roustabout for Mobil Oil Co., for 31 years.
Besides his parents, he leaves three sons, Richard Break of Oklahoma City, Okla., David Break of Cyril, Okla., and Patrick Break of Lindsay and four grandchildren.

Daughter Dies In Wichita
Lorene Grace Daniel, 61, Wichita, daughter of Dewey Hugh Daniel of Augusta, died yesterday at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita.
Her service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Dunsford Funeral Home. Rev. Amos Williams will officiate and burial will be in the Leon Cemetery.
She was born Jan. 19, 1922 in Hartshorn, Okla., to Dewey Hugh and Lucy Marie Bogue Daniel.
She was a clerk at Beech Aircraft Co., in Wichita.
Other survivors include her stepmother, Ruth Daniel of Augusta; sisters, Lela Marie Pinkerton of Mansfield, La., Bettye Alice Easley of Caldwell, Idaho; three nieces; two nephews; one great-niece and two great nephews.

Son Dies In Texas
William Bruce McWilliams, 42, Odessa, Texas, son of Hattie McWilliams Harding of Augusta, died March 15 in Odessa.
His service will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Odessa.
He was born July 1, 1940 in El Dorado. He graduated from El Dorado High School and served in the U.S. Navy. He worked at Beech Aircraft Co., in Wichita and in Boulder, Colo., before moving to Odessa.
Other survivors include his wife, Billie Sweet McWilliams; four sons, Devin, Brandon, Scott and Derek, all of Odessa; a brother, Larry McWilliams of Branson, Mo., and three sisters, Glenna Fulmer of El Dorado, Wanda Austin of Houston, Texas and Barbara Ree of Augusta.
