Charleen Moser

Charleen Taylor Moser, 81, Wichita, homemaker and cosmetologist, formerly of Augusta, died Saturday, April 21, 2001.
Her funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Lakeview Funeral Home, closed casket.
Mrs. Moser is survived by husband, Robert; daughters, Marcene Amend of Fort Collins, Colo., Marilyn Hagemeister of Wichita, Jo Anne Fleske of Colorado Springs; grandchildren, David Amend, Deahn Bordeau, Matthew Davis, Lon Davis, Andrew Fleske, Gregory Fleske, Karen Hagemeister, Beth Hagemeister.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Jan Davis.
A memorial has been established with the Augusta Historical Museum.
Lakeview Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mabel D. Swint

Mabel Dell Swint, 90, Emporia, retired owner of Swint’s Top Spot Cafe and Bus Depot and daycare provider, and grandmother of Michael Harrouff of Augusta, died, Thursday, April 19,2001.
Her funeral service was held today, April 23, in The Patio Garden at Memorial Lawn Cemetery in Emporia.
Mrs. Swint is survived by a son, Ronnie of Emporia; daughter, Karolen Harrouff of Emporia; sisters, Lorene Workman of Wichita, Lucille Walker of Bakersfield, Calif.; grandchildren, Michael Harrouff of Augusta, Kurt Swint of Udall, Brenda Swint Hedrick of Newton, Mark Harrouff , Monica Harrouff Barnett, Amy Swint Speer, Kevin Swint and Ryan Swint all of Emporia; 11 great-grandchildren.

Edith G. Bonar

Edith G. Bonar, 95, of Wichita, formerly of Pomona and Newton, retired Quenemo, Kan. public school teacher and former Boeing Wichita employee and aunt of Dorothy Moore of Augusta, died Sunday, April 29, 2001.
Her funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 2, at Cochran Mortuary in Wichita. Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday, April 2, at Appanoose Cemetery in rural Pomona.
Mrs. Bonar is also survived by sister, Geraldine Joeckel of Wichita; nephews, Ernest Rybolt, Ray Denton both of Wichita; nieces, Mary Jane Denton, Shirley Yonce both of Wichita, Dorothy Moore of Augusta, Verla Garrison of Fort Collins, Colo.
A memorial has been established with the United Methodist Church, Pomona.
Cochran Mortuary, Wichita, is in charge of arrangements.

Genevive Gilliland

Genevive “Marie” Gilliland, 77, retired Boeing Wichita production employee of Augusta, died Sunday, April 29, 2001.
Her funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, May 3, at Hillside Funeral Home in Augusta.
Mrs. Gilliland is survived by daughter, Suzanne Hiatt of Clearwater; sisters, Naomi Wheeler of Augusta, Thelma Gregg of Wichita; eight grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren.
A memorial has been established with Hospice Care of Kansas.

James E. Cyphers

James E. “Jim” Cyphers, 76, retired Mobil Oil Refinery employee of Augusta, died Sunday, April 29, 2001.
His funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 2, at First Christian Church.
Visitation will be possible until 8 p.m., tonight at Dunsford Funeral Home of Augusta.
Mr. Cyphers was born Aug. 24, 1924 in Augusta to Elmer E. and Grace L. (Harper) Cyphers.
He married Virginia N. Dennett in El Dorado on June 5, 1943.
He was a World War II combat infantry veteran from 1943 to 1945 serving in the European Theatre. He received a purple heart and bronze star for his service.
Mr. Cyphers was a lifetime member of the Disabled American Veterans and a longtime member of the First Christian Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Mike Cyphers; and sister, Violet Dobbins.
Mr. Cyphers is survived by wife, Virginia; son, James W. “Bud” Cyphers of Augusta; daughter, Terri L. Marshall of -Newton; brothers, Paul Cyphers of Augusta, Dean Cyphers of Fort Worth, Bob Cyphers of Tucson; sister Doris Mehl of Pueblo, Colo.; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.
Memorials have been estab-lished with Hospice and the Augusta First Christian Church.
Dunsford Funeral Home of Augusta is in charge of arrangements.
