Cecil G. Ebert

Cecil Gene Ebert, 72, Havi-land, grandfather of Julie and Brandon Walsh of Douglass, died Saturday, May 12, 2001.
His funeral service will be at 2:30 p.m. today, May 15, at Fleener Funeral Home in Greensburg.
Mr. Ebert is survived by sons and daughter-in law, Dennis and Glenda of Colwich, Douglas and Susan of Flagstaff, Ariz., Dean “Oscar” and Bonnie of Havi-land; daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and Gary Routon of Newberg, Ore.; sister, Edna Mae Snedeger of Kansas City, Mo.; grandchildren, Kevin and Jennifer Ebert of Colwich, Ben Routon of New York City, Aaron Routon, Micah Routon both of Newberg, Ore., Leighton Ebert of Wash., Joshua Ebert of Flagstaff, Ariz.,Colten Ebert of Haviland, Julie and Brandon Walsh of Douglass, Michelle Ebert of Phoenix; great-grandchildren, Kylee and Jase Ebert of Colwich, Bryant Walsh of Douglass.
Memorials have been established with Kiowa County Memorial Hospital in Greensburg.

Joe R. Crowder

Joe Richard Crowder,76, Longmont, Colo., retired Navy and Frontier Airlines instrument repair technician, and former Augusta resident, died May 12, 2001.
A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 16, at the Longmont (Colo.) Church of Christ.
Mr. Crowder is survived by his wife Opal J. (McVay) Crowder; daughters, Barbara J. Hoffman, Debbie J. Puckett; sister, Ruby Lamb, Bethany Powers; brother H. Don Crowder; grandchildren, Greg Hamby, Charity Easter, Tiffany Bermingham, Trisha Hoffman, Travis Hoffman; great-grandchildren, Will Easter, Michael Easter.
A memorial has been established with Mountain State Children’s Home.

H. Dale Cogan

H. Dale Cogan, 82, Towanda, died Sunday, May 13, 2001.
His funeral service will be at 2:30 p.m., Wednesday, May 16, at Carlson Funeral Home in El Dorado. Interment with military rites will follow at Towanda Cemetery.
Visitation with family will be from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. tonight, May 15, also at Carlson Funeral Home.
He worked for Mobil Oil refinery for 38 years and was a heavy oil supervisor and utility dept, supervisor.
Mr. Cogan is survived by his wife, Frances; daughter and son-in-law, Carole and Fred Howell of Towanda; brother, John of Towanda; sister, Eva Czajkows-ki of Denver; grandchildren and spouses, Lori and Alvin Wallace of Douglass, Diane and Phil Houck of Towanda, Tim and Gail Reiswig of El Dorado, Michael and Brenda Reiswig of Leon; great-grandchildren, Kayla, Jake, Derek and Olivia all of Douglass, Bayle of El Dorado, Christina, Christopher, Joshua, Samira all of Leon; stepgrand-children and spouse, Angela Howell of Wichita, Shawn and Jahna Howell; stepgreat-grand-children, Evan of Lawrence, Stacy Howell of Seattle; extended family of two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; nephews, nieces and friends.

Marian L. Quade

Homemaker Marian Louise (Welk) Quade, 75, Wichita, mother of Steven Quade of Dou-glass, died Sunday, May 13, 2001.
Her funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 16, at St. Andrew’s Lutheran Church in Wichita.
Mrs. Quade is survived by sons, Bruce of Overland Park, Steven of Douglass, Gary of Dallas; daughters Lori Casey of Wichita, Leanne Lechner of Towanda; sister, Esther Welk of Wichita; six grandchildren.
A memorial has been established with St. Andrew’s Lutheran Church.
Resthaven Mortuary of Wichita is in charge of arrangements. -

Gerald McCalla

Gerald E. McCalla, 85, Lyons, retired Kansas Power and Light Co. sub-station operator and father of Robert McCalla of Augusta, died Wednesday, May 16,2001.
His funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, May 19, at the First Christian Church in Lyons with Rev. Tom Eastman officiating. Burial will be at Lyons Municipal Cemetery.
Visitation will possible be from 1 to 5 p.m. Friday, May 18, at Sillin Funeral Home in Lyons.
Mr. McCalla is survived by wife, Lucille N. (Tucker); son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Barbara McCalla of Augusta; brother, Floyd McCalla of Hutchinson; sisters, Dorothy Pace of Nacogdoches, Texas, Darlene Risley of Hutchinson, Florence Cooper of Abbyville; two grandchildren; two greatgrandchildren.
A memorial has been established with the First Christian Church Scholarship Fund.
Sillin Funeral Home in Lyons is in charge of arrangements.
