Alton Ralph Macy

Alton Ralph Macy, 83, of Miltonvale, formerly of Augusta, died Sunday, Feb. 17, 2002.
His funeral service will be 1 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 21, at F.C. Hill Memorial Wesleyan Church, Miltonvale; burial will follow at Wesleyan Cemetery, east of Oak Hill.
Survivors include: sons,
David of Clay Center, Thomas of Wichita, Wesley of Foley, Minn., John of Miltonvale; daughter, Laura Cline of Wichita; 14 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.
Memorials established with Central Baptist Church and Wesleyan World Missions.
Phelps Funeral Home in Miltonvale in charge of arrangements.

Ethel L. Burkhart

Ethel Lorraine Burkhart, 89, of Augusta, mother of daughter and son-in-law, Kolene and Keith Luper of Augusta, died Wednesday, Feb.27, 2002.
Mrs. Burkhart was a retired grocery store clerk.
Her funeral service was Saturday, March 2, at Dunsford Funeral Home of Augusta.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George Burkhart in 1988, and her parents.
Other survivors: son and
daughter-in-law, Gary and Bonnie Burkhart of Ulyssess, Kans.; brother, William Libhart Jr. of Wichita; six grandsons; 10 great-grandchildren.
Memorial established with Parkinson’s Education Program, 3640 S. Eisenhower, Wichita, 67215.
Arrangements were by Dunsford Funeral Home of Augusta.

Wrex Barker

Wrex Barker, 71, of Augusta, husband of Pat Barker and father to daughter and son-in-law, Lenita and Bob Lohman, all of Augusta, died Sunday, March 3, 2002.
Family visitation will be 1 to 8 p.m., Thursday, at Dunsford Funeral Home in Augusta.
His funeral service will be at 1 p.m., Friday, March 8, at the First Baptist Church in Augusta.
Mr. Barker was a retired First Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps and served in the Korean and Vietnam wars. He was a 32nd degree Mason and belonged to the Disabled American Veterans.
Mr. Barker was preceded in death by brother Cecil, sister Elsie Hawkins, and parents Edward and Dora Barker.
Other survivors: son and
daughter-in-law, Monty and Joan Barker of Mt. Home, Ark.; brothers, Mitt Barker of Oak Ridge, Tenn., Wheeler Barker of Wichita; sisters, Meddie McCafferty of Waldren, Ark., Glea Norris of Wichita, Bernice Proffitt of Wichita; grandchildren, Brice and Brandon Lohman of Augusta, Ashley and Jordan Barker of Mt. Home, Ark.
Memorials established with First Baptist Church of Augusta and Toys for Tots.

Dora Ilene Catt, 79, longtime Augusta resident, retired printer, died Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2002.
Visitation 1 to 8 p.m., today at Dunsford Funeral Home.
Service will be at 10 a.m. tomorrow at Dunsford Funeral Home.
Mrs. Catt was born Aug. 20, 1922 to the late Walter Simon Singer and Lula Belva Kennedy Singer.
She was preceded in death by husband, Homer J. Catt, and her parents,
Survivors: daugher, Paula
Chambers of Towanda; several nieces and nephews.
Dunsford Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Jared F. Cox

Jared F. “Junior” Cox, 65, of Douglass, died Tuesday, March 5, 2002.
Family visitation will be 1 p.m. to 8 p.m., today at Dunsford Funeral Chapel in Augusta.
His funeral will be at 10 a.m. tomorrow, March 8, at the First Assembly of God Church in Augusta.
Mr. Cox was a retired truck driver for Safeway and a self-employed dirt contractor.
Survivors include: wife, Ruth Cox of the home ; sons, Randall Cox of Douglass, Aaron Cox of Douglass; daughter, Facia Self of Douglass; sister, Eileen Warrenting of Hutchinson; 8 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild.
Memorial established with the First Assembly of God Church, 3626 N. Ohio, Augusta, Kans.,67010.
