Dora Seymour Dies At 76
Dora L. Seymour, 76, El Dorado, died this morning at the Wesley Medical Center in Wichita.
Her service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the First Christian Church in Leon. Rev. Vernon Frantz and Rev. Tony Venturella will officiate. Burial will be in the Sunset Lawn Cemetery in El Dorado.
A memorial has been established with the Leukemia Society.
She was born Jan. 5, 1907 near Keighly to Harley Clifford and Arminta Robinson Ades.
She married Carl Russell Seymour Nov. 23, 1926 in Eureka. He died March 4, 1983.
Survivors include two sons, Russell Seymour of Route 2 and William Seymour of Route 4; four daughters, Ruth Brewer of Latham, Ruby Flinn of Conway, Robert Kiser and Doretta Fay Poore, both of Augusta; four sisters, Jane Riggs and Carrie Gray and Anabelle Abraham, all of Augusta, and Mazie Hobkirk of Wichita; three brothers, John Ades and Ellis Ades, both of Leon, and Clifford Ades of Augusta; 17 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Carlson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangments.

Mother Dies In Wichita
Gladys Irene Dray, 91, El Dorado, mother of Charlotte Hart of Augusta, died this morning at the Catholic Home for the Aging in Wichita.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Sunset Lawn Cemetery in El Dorado.
A memorial has been established with the First United Methodist Church of El Dorado.
She was born Feb. 2, 1892 in Harrod, Ohio.
She married John Robert Dray Oct. 7, 1918 in Columbus, Ohio. He preceded her in death Feb. 14, 1962.
She lived in El Dorado many years before moving to Wichita six years ago.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in El Dorado and a 50-year mimeber of the Andrina Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star there.
Other survivors include grandchildren, Charles Hart of Augusta, Candy Duncan of Porsmouth, Va., and Cheryle Hart of Terre Haut, Ind., and a great-grandchild.
Carlson Funeral Home in El Dorado is in charge of arrangements.

Clifford Hale Rites Monday
Clifford Wilson Hale, 66, 521 1/2 State, died yesterday at Wesley Medical Center.
Friends may call at the Dunsford Funeral Home until 9 p.m. Friday.
His service will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the Butler Funeral Home in Bolivar, Mo. Burial will be in Bethel Cemetery in Bolivar.
He was born Dec.7, 1916 in Missouri to Jimmy and Jennie Redd Hale.
He married Ruth Goldsberry May 10, 1942 in Bolivar. She died in 1973. He married Earlene Punke July 1, 1974. She survives.
He was a retired Beech Aircraft Co., employee. He had lived here since 1952.
Other survivors include a son, Dwain Hale of Wichita; his mother, Jennie Hale of Bolivar; brothers, Adrian Hale of California, Carl Hale of Salem, Mo., Jimmy Hale, Elgie Hale and Orlan Hale, all of Bolivar; sisters, Elma Marshall of Bolivar, Erma Martin of Ava, Mo., Edna DiCicco of San Antonio, Texas, Willa Doufler of Baldwin Park, Calif., Dorothy Queckboerner of Centralia, Mo., Aba Jean Schmitt, Corpus Christi, Texas and Tressie Grant of North Highlands, Calif., and a grandson, Bruce D. Hale.
Another grandson, Chris McElhiney, preceded him in death.

Rites Saturday For Johnston
A funeral service for Barbara Lee Johnston, 43, Towanda was held at 2 o’clock Saturday after-noon in the Campbell Funeral Home at Eureka.
Rev. Doyle Whitesel, pastor of the Augusta First Church of God, officiated at the service and burial was in the Greenwood Cemetery there.
She was born Nov. 17, 1939 in Wichita. Her parents, Volney “Hayden” and Virgie Lorena Mock Norman of Eureka, survive.
Other survivors include a son, Rodney Robert of Leon; two daughters, Delinda Brecheisen and Monica Farrar, both of El Dorado, and three grandchildren.

Aunt Dies In Illinois
Maude Newenham, 91, a former Augusta resident, died March 18 in a hospital near her home in Mt. Sterling, Ill. She was the aunt of Augustan Mrs. Paul (Rose) Dill.
Services were held March 22 and burial was in the Mt. Sterling Cemetery.
