Bob G. Mitchell

Bob G. Mitchell, son of Vada (Rawlings) and Marion Mitchell, born Sept. 11, 1928, died
Tuesday, March 12, 2002.
His funeral service will be 1 p.m. Saturday, March 16, at the Hillside Funeral Home of Auusta.
Visitation will be possible from noon to 1 p.m. on Saturday.
After working for Scholfield auto dealership for more than 30 years, Bob retired from the auto business, but continued working for the Scholfields on their ranches.
On Oct. 8, 1947 Bob married Phyllis Chance.
They lived in Gordon for the duration of their marriage. Bob was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Harold and John; grandson, Michael.
Survived by wife, Phyllis; son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Kathy Mitchell of Douglass; daughter and son-in-law, Genelle and Roger Miller, of Augusta; daughter, Julie Mitchell of Augusta; sisters, Donna Jones and Marilyn Llewellyn, both of Norman, Okla.; grandchildren, Chris Mitchell of Wichita, Jason Goeken of Andover, Stewart Mitchell of Douglass, Justin Mitchell, Meredith Goeken, and Travis Goeken all of Augusta,
Loree DeRose of El Dorado; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been establish with the American Cancer Society.

Paul Nolan Reetz

Paul Nolan Reetz, 90, retired chief inspector at Mobil Refinery, died Tuesday, March 19,2002.
His graveside service was this morning, March 21, at Elmwood Cemetery in Augusta.
Mr. Reetz was preceded in death by his wife, Velva.
Survivors include: son, Roger
of Springfield, Mo.; sisters, Helen Stemen of Augusta and Geneva Neil of Antioch, Ga.; aunt, Nydene Reetz of Augusta.
Dunsford Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Virginia L. Cody

Virginia Lee Cody, 74, of Wichita, formerly of Augusta retired telephone operator, diet Wednesday, March 20, 2002.
Her funeral will be at 11 a.m tomorrow, March 23, at Cedar Chapel United Methodist Church in Wichita and interment will be at 2 p.m. at Elmwood Cemetery in Augusta.

Sara D. Speere

Sara Delaney Speere, infant, daughter of Shawn and Cynthia Speere of Augusta, died Thursday, March 14, 2002.
Visitation will be 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., Monday, March 18, at Hillside Funeral Home in Augusta.
Her funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Elmwood Cemetery in Augusta.
Other survivors include: grandparents, Bob and Eileen Philipi of Augusta, Larry and Shirley Speere of Augusta; great grandparents, Nora Howard of Ozark, Mo., Joe and Jo Philipi of El Dorado, Kans., Tillie Speere of Russell, Kans., Albert and Erna Kruger of Everett, Wash.
Hillside Funeral Home of Augusta is in charge of arrangements.

Lee V. Norris

Former Augusta High teacher-coach Lee V. Norris, 68, Topeka, died Wednesday, March 20, 2002 in Mesa Arizona.
His funeral service was held Monday, March 25, at the Dorr & Clark Funeral Home in Falls City, Neb.
A memorial service is scheduled for 1 p.m. Thursday, March 28, at Lowman United Methodist Church in Topeka. Memorials to the Hearn Children’s Education Fund and the church have been suggested.
He coached football, track, and wrestling at Augusta High from 1960 to 1967.
He leaves his wife, Peggy of the Topeka home, two daughters, two sisters, and two grandchildren.

Aaron Ruboyianes

The body of Aaron M. Ruboyianes, 24, Wichita, the victim of Wednesday s shooting here, was released to the Cochran Mortuary in Wichita following an autopsy yesterday.
Spokespeople for the funeral home and the family said it could some time before final funeral arrangements are made.
Ruboyianes was a six year employee of Wal-mart stores. He started with a store in Wichita. He had worked at the Augusta store for the past 2 1/2 years.
