‘Jerry’ Harrison

Jerald E. “Jerry” Harrison, 83, Augusta, retired functional tester for Boeing Aircraft, died Thursday, July 25,2002.
His funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, July 29, at the First Church of God in Augusta. Visitation will be from 1 to 5 p.m. on
Sunday, July 28, at Dunsford
Funeral Home Chapel in Augusta, with family present from 1 to 3 p.m.
He was born March 9, 1919 in Van Buren, Ark., to Lester R. and Sylvia Terry Harrison.
Survivors include: wife,
Helen Harrison of Augusta; son, Jerry Harrison of Augusta; son and daughter-in-law, Jay and Julie Harrison of Augusta; two grandchildren; Brooke and Stratton Harrison of Augusta.
Memorial has been established with First Church of God, 720 State, Augusta;
The Dunsford Funeral Home of Augusta has charge of arrangements.

Millicent Gunnerson

Former Augustan Millicent Lucille (Brumm) Gunnerson, 86, Hutchinson, died Thursday, July 25, 2002.
There was a private family service.
Survivors: husband, Reuben; daughters, Sarah Orcutt of Hutchinson, Elizabeth Weller of Slidell, La.; sister, Berniece Brian of Hutchinson.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to First United Methodist Church of Augusta and Trinity United Methodist Church of Hutchinson.
Johnson and Sons Funeral Home of Hutchinson is handling the arrangements.

Art Miller

Clarence Arthur “Art” Miller, 61, Augusta, retired IGA meat cutter, died Friday, July 19, 2002.
A memorial gathering was held at the Miller residence yesterday. July 21, 2002..
Survivors include: wife, Cheryl; son, Art Jr. of Augusta; daughters, Lee Miller Carter of El Dorado, Starla Sewell of Wichita; brothers, Bob of Augusta, Dan of Tucson; sister, Claudia Whetstone of Ellinwood; five grandchildren.
Memorial has been established with Kansas Humane Society, 4218 Southeast Blvd., P.O. Box 945, Wichita, 67201.
Hillside Funeral Home of Augusta handled the arrangements.

Vickie Rogers

Homemaker Vickie J. Rogers, 55, Augusta, died Friday, July 26, 2002.
Her funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 30, at the Dunsford Funeral Home Chapel.
Visitation is possible at the funeral home until 8 p.m. today with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m.
Mrs. Rogers leaves her husband, James A. Rogers of Augusta; daughter and son-in-law Jahrie and Jimmy Banks of Sanger, Texas; son James Michael Rogers of Wichita; parents, Gene and Juanita Kingsley of Leon; brother and sister-in-law, Michael and Connie Kingsley of Wichita; sister and brother-in-law Joyce and Greg Darnell of Edwardsville; sister and brother-in-law Kim and Steven Edwards of Augusta; two grandchildren, Jamie and Jennifer Banks.
The Dunsford Funeral Home of Augusta is in charge of arrangements.

Bernita Mark

Bernita Mark, 76, Augusta, homemaker, died Saturday, July 27,2002.
Her funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 31, at the First Christian Church in Augusta. Interment will follow at Elmwood Cemetery.
She was born Oct. 9, 1925 in Augusta, the daughter of Roy and Julia (Jones) Stevens.
She grew up in Augusta and graduated from Augusta High School in 1944. From World War II until 1954, she was employed by Boeing Aircraft Company.
On July 16, 1953 she was united in marriage to James Stuart Mark at the First Christian Church of Augusta.
Mrs. Mark was a member of the First Christian Church and the Christian Women Fellowship. She enjoyed sewing and making clothes for her family. But the light of her life were her grandchildren and greatgrandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Glenn Stevens, grandson, Mark Corbin and brother-in-law, Bobby Richards.
Survivors include: husband, Stuart of the home; daughters, Vickie and her husband, Jim Eaton of Kansas City, Kans., Karen and her husband, Ted Corbin of El Dorado, Peggy Anglemeyer of Augusta; sister, Cleone Richards of Hennessey, Okla.; 10 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren.
A memorial has been established with the First Christian Church of Augusta. Contributions may be left with Kirby-Morris Funeral Home in El Dorado, who has charge of the arrangements.
