Blake Edward Hanzlick
Blake Edward Hanzlick, 43, Augusta, Kansas Turnpike Authority electrician, died Wednesday, Oct. 30, 2002.
His funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 2, at the Augusta First United Methodist Church, 2420 N. Ohio.
Visitation will be possible from 1 to 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 1, at Dunsford Funeral Home.
Survivors include: wife, Lana of the home; son, Justin of the home; daughters, Chelsey and Courtney, both of the home; mother, Kay Hanzlick of
Augusta; sisters, Juli Beard of Great Bend, Ore., Linda Romero of Cincinnati, Ohio.
Memorials have been established with: ALS Foundation; Hospice Care of Kansas, 115 W. Central, El Dorado, 67042; First United Methodist Church Youth, Augusta; Hanzlick Children College Fund.
Dunsford Funeral Home of Augusta is handling the arrangements.

Barbara K. Apel, 101, Ellinwood, farm wife and gardener, mother of Sally Sigley and Harry Apel, both of Augusta, died Sunday, Oct. 27 2002.
Her funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 31, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Ellinwood.
Other survivors include: son Norman of Great Bend, daughters, Theresa Wornkey of Wyandotte, Okla., Mary Jean Miller of Great Bend; sisters, Clara Whitney of Irving, Texas, Monica Robl of Ellinwood Alfredia Miller of Kinsley; 23 grandchildren; 50 great-grandchildren; 25 great-great-grandchildren.
Memorials have been established with St. Joseph’s School Endowment Fund and St. James Building Fund.
Kimple Funeral Home of Ellinwood has charge of the arrangements.
Byard E. Gosch
Former Augusta resident Byard Earl Gosch, 65, of Andover, died Monday, Nov. 4, 2002.
His funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 7, at First United Methodist Church, 2420 N. Ohio.
Visitation will be possible from 6 to 8 p.m. tomorrow evening,. Nov. 6, at the Downing Lahey East Chapel in Wichita.
Survivors include wife, Roberta; daughters and sons-in-law Kristy and Allen Weber of Portland, Texas; Kathryn and Michael Cline of Little Rock, Ark.; son and daughter-in-law Kurtis and Patti Gosch of Marietta, Ga.; brother, Thomas Gosch of Webb City, Mo., six grandchildren.
Memorials to First United Methodist Church of Augusta and the Mid-Kansas Affiliate of the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation are suggested.

Thelma Lillian Gragg, 92, Augusta, homemaker and former Benton Cafe (Benton) owner and operator, died Saturday, Nov. 2, 2002.
Her funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. tomorrow, Nov. 5, 2002, at the Augusta First Baptist Church.
Survivors include: daughter Sharon Hettinger of Milwaukee, Wis.; sister, Naomi Wheeler of Augusta.
Memorial has been established with Christian Education Scholarship Fund, c/o First Baptist Church, 1501 State St., Augusta, 67010.
Dunsford Funeral Home of Augusta has charge of arrangements.

Frances Ayers Kunce, 85, Sigourney, Iowa, formerly of Augusta, died Friday, Nov. 1, 2002.
Her funeral service was held this morning, Nov. 4, at Central Baptist Church of rural Augusta.
She was preceded in death by husband, Rev. James S. Kunce, parents, Milton and Edith Smith Ayres, brothers, Wayne and Allan Ayres.
Survivors are: son, Brad of Oklahoma City;. Okla.; daughter and son-in-law, Jill and Harrison Moore of Sigourney, Iowa; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.
Hillside Funeral Home in Augusta handled the arrangements.
