Mildred L. Cole
Mildred Lucille (Ash) Cole, 78, Wichita, sister of Betty Hightower of Augusta, died Thursday, Jan. 9, 2003.
Funeral service was held today, Jan. 13, at Lakeview Funeral Home in Wichita.
Other survivors include: husband, Donal R. Cole Sr. of Wichita; daughter, Juanita Grantz of Valley Center; son, Donal R. Jr. of Madison, Ala.; brothers, Dale Ash, Ray Ash, both of Stroud, Okla., John Ash of Jacksboro, Texas, Billy Don Ash of Kendrick, Okla.; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one half sister; two half brothers; numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial established with American Heart Association.
Lakeview Funeral Home of Wichita handled the arrangements.
Darrin Gammill
Darrin Gammill, 17, Augusta, died Sunday, Jan. 12, 2003.
His funeral arrangements were pending this morning, Jan. 13, at the Dunsford Funeral Home of Augusta.
Marie M. Wicke
Retired teacher Marie Mathelina Luckert Wicke, 98, Deer Creek, Okla., mother of Vesta Wicke, mother and mother-in-law of Elsie and Horton Flaming, all of Augusta, died Friday, Jan. 10, 2003.
Her funeral service was held today, Jan. 13, at Deer Creek Mennonite Church, with burial at Bayard Cemetery in Deer Creek.
She was preceded in death by: her parents, Gottlieb and Caroline Luckert; brothers, Fred, Will, and John Luckert; sisters, Dora Seifert, Carrie Sullivan, Louise Brainard, and Freeda Wicke.
Other survivors include: son, Glenn Henry Wicke and wife, Sandra Ann of Deer Creek; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.
Memorial established with Deer Creek Mennonite Women in Mission, Deer Creek Mennonite Church, PO Box 66, Deer Creek, Okla., 74636.
Roberts & Son Funeral Home of Blackwell, Okla., had charge of the arrangements.
Justin L. Metzger
Justin Lee Metzger, 21, Alma, Mich., grandson of Mabel Ammons of Augusta, died Jan. 4, 2003.
His funeral services were held in Alma on Jan, 7.
Other survivors include: parents, Don and Carol Sue (Ammons) Metzger of Alma; twin brother, Jason Metzger of Alma; fiancee, Jeannette Sternhagen of Alma; brother, Alan Metzger of Ft. Collins, Colo.; sisters, Amy Morgan of Noble, Okla, and Bonnie Bisson of Dexter, Mich.; numerous uncles, nieces and nephews.
Memorial gifts may be made to the Brain Tumor Research Fund, 1914 Taubman Center, Box 0316, University of Michigan Hospitals, Ann Arbor, Mich., 48109, the American Cancer Society, or any other charitable choice.
