Hugh McHone, 80, Augusta, died Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2003.
Arrangements were pending this morning at the Dunsford Funeral Home of Augusta.
Nona C. Brock
Nona C. Brock, 66, Wichita, retired Gallachia Medical Group medical records clerk, mother of Ron Brock of Augusta, died Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2003.
Her funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Andover Cemetery.
Other survivors include: son, Bill of Wichita; daughters, Cindy Prather, Amanda Hall, both of Wichita; brothers, Steve Darbyshire of Wichita, Ivan Darbyshire of La Grange, Calif.; sisters, Faith Good of Carpenteria, Calif., Joyce Becker of Ontario, Calif., Vernessa Davis of Wichita, Margie Block of Minnesota; 10 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.
Memorial established with Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice, 313 S. Market, Wichita, 67202.
Cochran Mortuary of Wichita has charge of the arrangements.
Frank W. Bates
Former Augustan Frank W. Bates, 87, Hutchinson, retired farmer and Boeing Wichita truck
driver, died Monday, Feb. 4, 2003.
Cremation has taken place, visitors may sign a book from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. today, Thursday and Friday at Elliott Mortuary in Hutchinson.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 8 at the Hutchinson First Christian Church. A military graveside service will be at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 8 at Elmwood Cemetery in Augusta.
He was preceded in death by: sons, Roger, Ronnie, Tommy; daughter, Marilyn Bates; brothers, Harvey and Charles Bates; sisters, Lena Onfer, Blanche Roblin.
Survivors: son, Wendell Bates of Hutchinson; daughters, Linda Rector of Johnson, Lou Ann Bates of Wichita; sister-in-law, Audine Bates of Augusta; 12 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to First Christian Church of Hutchinson or Hospice House of Reno County.
Elliott Mortuary of Hutchinson is in charge of the arrangements.

Former Augustan Linda S. (Anderson) Chappell, 51, Joliet, ILL., mother of Tim Chappell of Augusta, died Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2003.
Her graveside service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 8, at
Elmwood Cemetery in Augusta.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Mattie Anderson and brother, Dean Anderson.
Other survivors include: husband, Tom; daughter, Jessica Adcock of ILL.; brothers, David Anderson of Augusta, Larry Anderson of Georgia; sister, Carolyn Rozof of Wichita; two grandchildren.
A memorial has been established with Joliet Area Community Hospice, 335 W. Jefferson, Joliet, ILL., 60435-7413.
Westwood Funeral Home in Joliet has charge of the arrangements.
Lavoina Jenkins
Lavoina Helen (Ulrich) Jenkins, 93, Arnolds Park, Iowa, formerly of Augusta, grandmother of Kristen and Mike Martin of Augusta, died Saturday, Feb. 1, 2003.
Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 7 at the First Presbyterian Church in Spirit Lake, Iowa.
She was preceded in death by parents, Fred and Mabel Ulrich and husband, James H. Jenkins.
Other survivors include: son and daughter-in-law, Ronald and Jackie Jenkins of Milford, Texas; two grandsons; five great-grandchildren.
Turner Funeral Home of Spirit Lake, Iowa is handling the arrangements.
