Ralph C. Maness

Ralph C. Maness, 64, Augusta, territory salesman for Northwest Veterinary, died Thursday, Feb. 6,
His funeral service will be at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Feb.
9, at Lakecrest Bible Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by parents, William C. and Oreca Maness.
Survivors include: wife of 37 years, Janet; daughters, Kelli and husband, Marshall Hull of Augusta, Kristi and Sean Parsons of Augusta; brothers and sisters-in-law, Bill and Glynda Maness of Las Vegas, Nev., Walter and Judy Maness of Wichita Falls, Texas, Jimmy Maness of Arlington, Texas; sisters, Sue Edgington of Runaway Bay, Texas, Shelley and husband, Louie Prost of Bowie, Texas; three grandchildren; aunt and numerous nieces and nephews.
Hillside Funeral Home of Augusta has charge of the arrangements.

Verlin Hite

Verlin Hite, 54, Wichita, brother of Ronald Hite of Augusta, died Monday, Feb. 10, 2003.
A private family service will be held at a later date.
Other survivors include: wife, Phyllis; sons, Robert of Wichita, Russell of Haysville; daughters, Rebecca Hite, Vicki Hite, both of Wichita; brothers, Myron, Harold, both of Wichita; two grandchildren.
Culbertson-Smith Mortuary of Wichita has charge of arrangements.

Venita Canfield

Sadie Venita (Ewalt) Canfield, 92, Augusta, died this morning, Feb. 12, 2003.
Her funeral arrangements were pending this morning at Dunsford’s Funeral Home of Augusta.

M.L. ‘Jack’ Curry

Max Leo “Jack” Curry, 83, Donna, Texas, formerly of Augusta, retired Mobil Oil Co. warehouse manager, died Sunday, Feb. 9, 2003.
His funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 13, at Dunsford Funeral Chapel in Augusta.
He was born Aug. 4, 1919 in Wichita to John and Jenny (Cunningham) Curry.
He grew up in Atlanta and served in the Army during World War II. He and his wife, Farra, lived in Augusta until retiring to Donna, Texas, in 1984.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Farra and granddaughter, Katie White.
Survivors: daughters, Lee Ann Igoe of Columbus, Ohio, Alicia Kandt of Wichita, Linda White of Coeurd-Alene, Idaho; grandchildren, Todd Bryan of Snohomish, Wash., Lisa White of Spokane, Wash.; great-grandchildren, Kailah Bryan, Trent Liebergot.
Dunsford Funeral Home of Augusta is in charge of the arrangements.

Lyle H. Gaffney

Lyle H. Gaffney, 65, Augusta, Boeing Wichita tooling supervisor, died Saturday, Jan. 8, 2003.
His graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 11, at Elmwood Cemetery in Augusta.
He was preceded in death by his father, Howard Gaffney.
Survivors are: wife, Barbara of the home; son and daughter-in-law, Brett and Deanna Gaffney of Wichita; brother, John Gaffney of Sharon; sisters, Naomi West of Billings, Mont., Lore Niv of Phoenix, Ariz., Ann Heckathorne of Chandler, Ariz., mother, Ada Downer of Phoenix, Ariz.
Memorial has been established with Make A Wish Foundation, 2016 N. Amidon, Wichita, 67203.
Hillside Funeral Home of Augusta is handling the arrangements.
