William W. Wyss
William W. Wyss, 89, Bums, farmer and rancher, father of Loretta Patterson of Augusta, died Friday, Feb. 21, 2003.
His funeral service was held today, Feb. 24, at Ebenezer United Methodist Church in Burns.
Other survivors include: wife, Martha; sons, Darrell, Alan, both of Bums, Clifford of Newton; daughter, Sharon Beilis of Garden City; brothers, Robert of Onaga, Richard of Florence; sister, Betty Bowers of Wichita; nine grandchildren; 17 greatgrandchildren.
Memorials established with Ebenezer United Methodist Church and American Heart Association.
Kirby Morris Funeral Home of El Dorado has charge of the arrangements.
Harold LeRoy Bergley
Harold LeRoy Bergley, 70, Douglass, retired Boeing Wichita sheet metal operator, died Friday, Feb. 21, 2003.
His funeral service was held today, Feb. 24, at First Christian Church in Douglass.
He was preceded in death by wife, Jo Ann Bergley; parents, Harlow and Eva Bergley; sister, Bernice Howes; brothers, Julius Bergley, Ray Bergley.
Survivors are: son, Mark LeRoy Bergley of Douglass; daughters, Becky Jo Nelson of Mulvane, Belinda Rae Huser of Wichita; brother, Russell Bergley of Douglass; four grandchildren;, one great-grandchild.
Hillside Funeral Home of Augusta is handling the arrangements.
Sidney R. Meade
Sidney R. “Sid” Meade, 62, Strong City, chef and restaurant manager, brother of Betty Keener of Augusta, died Friday, Feb. 21, 2003.
His funeral service at 2 p.m. tomorrow, Feb. 25, at Brown-Bennett-Alexander Funeral Home in Cottonwood Falls.
Other survivor is sister, Jeannie White of Cottonwood Falls.
Visitation with family from 6 to 7:30 today at the funeral home in Strong City.
James W. Graham
James Wesley “J.W.” Graham, Longview, Texas, retired Bethlehem Steel employee and World War II veteran, brother of Shirley Guy of Augusta, died Sunday, Feb. 23, 2003.
His memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 26, in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home in Longview.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Doris D. and Mona Mardell Graham, and one sister, Dorothy Guest.
Other survivors include: wife, Charlotte; daughters, Ginger Wilson of Midwest City, Okla., LuAnn Young of Edmond, Okla.; brother, Darrell Graham of Kingston, Okla.; sisters, Charlene Campbell of Hemet, Calif., Delores Looney of Vinita, Okla.; three grandsons; numerous nieces and nephews.
Leroy Rader Funeral Home of Longview has charge of the arrangements.

Wilma L. Hopkins, 89, Augusta, homemaker, died Sunday, Feb. 23, 2003.
Her funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, March 3 at Dunsford Funeral Home Chapel in Augusta.
Visitation will be 1 to 5 p.m. on Sunday, March. 2 at Dunsford Funeral Home.
Survivors include: brother-in-law, Howard Glaze, sister-in-law, Viola Bagby, both of Augusta; several nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church, 1501 State, Augusta, 67010.

Evan Wayne Vampran
Evan Wayne Vampran, infant son of Nicholas Vampran and Lisa Boles of Wichita, brother of Tyler Kirby of Augusta, was stillborn Wednesday, Feb. 19, 2003.
His service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 26, at Maple Grove Cemetery in Wichita.
Other survivors are: brother, Braden Vampran of El Dorado; grandparents, Sherry Gill of
Wichita, Dewayne Boles, Randy and Cinda Sharp of Covington, La.; step grandfather, Kenneth Williams; great-grandparents, Doris and Warren Fandel of Loranga, La.
Broadway Mortuary of Wichita is in charge of the arrangements.
