Lyle Abbott Dies At 53
Lyle E. Abbott, 53, Wichita, brother-in-law of Leona Schauf of Augusta, died Wednesday at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita.
His service will be at 9 a.m. Saturday at the St. Francis of Assisi Church in Wichita. There will be a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. Friday at the church. Father Doug Campbell will officiate.
Memorials have been established with 8-Tower Oncology Wesley Medical Center and St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church.
He was born Feb. 17, 1930 in Kankakee, Ill., to Wade and Mary Mohr Abbott.
He married Gladys Girrens. She survives.
He was a market manager for the S.A. Long Co., in Wichita.
Other survivors include daughters, Stephanie Smith of Milwaukee, Wis., and Stacy Parkinson of Lawrence; mother, Mary of Orland Park, Ill., and brothers, W.K. of Orland Park and Albert of Collinsville, Ill.
Flanagan-Hunt Mortuary in Wichita is in charge of arrangements.

Brother Dies In Indiana
Richard L. Larkin, 42, East Chicago, Ind., brother of James Larkin of Augusta, died there Wednesday.
His service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Smith Mortuary in Derby. Rev. Kent Holcolm will officiate and burial will be at the El Paso Cemetery in Derby.
He was born Oct. 21, 1940 in Coffeyville to John J. and Flora May Wooten Larkin.
He was a steel worker. He was a member of the Coffeyville Veterans of Foreign Wars. He served in the military during the Vietnam Conflict.
Survivors also include brothers, John J. Larkin of Mount Vernon, Mo., M.T. Larkin of Coffeyville, Lawrence Larkin of Derby, and Jack R. Larkin of Hammond, Inc., and a sister, Mary Looper of Derby.
Monday, April 25, 1983 Mother Dies In Wichita
Loretta A. Gorges, 86, Wichita, mother of Catherine Marshall of Augusta, died there Friday at St Joseph Medical Center.
Her service was at 1:30 p.m. today at the All Saints Catholic Church. Msgr. H.N. Hertel was officiate and burial was be at Calvary Cemetery.
She was born Nov. 25, 1896 in Kansas to Anton and Mary Weber Kletchka.
She married Peter J. Gorges. He preceded her in death.
Other survivors include a daughter, Mary Marshall of Fort Worth, Texas.

Cardinal Dies In Wichita
Albert G. Cardinal, 88, Douglass, formerly of Springfield, Mo., died Saturday, April 23, at the Veteran’s Administration Medical Center in Wichita.
Graveside services will be held at the Douglass Cemetery at 10 a.m. Tuesday with the Rev. Bill Scott of the First Baptist Church of Douglass.
He was born April 10, 1895 in Corning, Ark., to Gerome Cardinal and Ida Nash Cardinal. He married Effie May Singleton in 1920 in Little Rock, Ark. She preceded him in death in 1960.
Cardinal was a veteran of World War I. He was a retired rancher.
Survivors include: a
daughter, Mrs. Maxine Beeson, Douglass; two grandsons, Gary Condon of Douglass and Brad Beeson of Douglass; three great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
Hilyard-Smith Funeral Home in Douglass has charge of arrangements.

Brother Dies At 66
Charles Eugene Raiguel, 66, Alice, Texas, brother of Gail Raiguel of Augusta, died Thursday at a hospital in Corpus Christi, Texas.
Graveside services were Saturday in Alice.
He was born Oct. 21, 1916 in Alma, W.Va., to John and Ada Waggoner Raiguel.
He married Wilma Berry in Bronson, Kan., July 1939. She survives.
Other survivors include a son, Dr. Steven Raiguel of Houston, Texas, and two sisters, Vineta Marker of Ellingwood and Elaine Beneke of Newbury Park, Calif.
Daughter Dies In Wichita
Patricia J. Holloway, 50, Wichita, daughter of Edna Terrill of Douglass, died April 21 at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita.
Her service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Lakeview Mortuary. Rev. James Allison will officiate. Cremation will follow.
A memorial has been established with the American Diabetes Association.
She was born June 15, 1932 to Newton and Edna Mae Ring Terrill.
She married Richard Holloway. He survives.
Other survivors include a son, Kevin of Kansas City, Kan; a daughter, Lisa Hanna of Wichita; and two grandchildren.
