Gladys Louise Bentz Spingler

Gladys Louise Bentz (Harvey) Spingler, 80, Wichita, retired, mother and mother-in-law of Larry P. and Debbie Bentz of Augusta, died Wednesday, March 19, 2003.
Service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, March 21, at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Wichita.
She was preceded in death by: parents, John and Gladys (Finney) Harvey; son, John W. Bentz II, four brothers, and one sister.
Other survivors include: daughters, Rebecca J. Smith of Wichita, Arzanna Louise Hanna of Eagle, Colo., Debra E. Pufahl of Wichita, Pamela J. Reeb of Lee’s Summit, Mo.; brother, John R. Harvey of Kamloops, British Columbia, Canada; sister, Jean Gundecker of Wyoming, Minn.; 15 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.
Memorial established with Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice.
Hillside Funeral Home East has charge of the arrangements.

Treva Alice James

Treva Alice (Norris) James, 83, Wichita, homemaker, formerly of Augusta, died Monday, March 24, 2003.
Visitation from 4 to 8 p.m. today, March 26, at Dunsford Funeral Home, of Augusta.
Her graveside service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, March 27, at Havana Cemetery in Havana..
Survivors are: sons, Ronald M. James of Cleveland, Okla., Charles A. James of Wichita; daughter, Wilma Irene Weinhold of Loveland, Colo.; nine grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grand-children.
Dunsford Funeral Home of Augusta has charge of the arrangements.

Verla N. Bailey

Verla N. Bailey, 85, Douglass, retired postal employee, died Thursday, March 27, 2003.
Visitation will be from 1 to 5 p.m. on Sunday, March 30, at Dunsford Chapel in Augusta.
Her funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, March 31 at the Douglass Church of Christ.
Survivors: numerous nephews and nieces.
Memorials to the Douglass Senior Center have been suggested.

Anna M. Drake

Anna Marie (Smith) Drake, 69, Wichita, died Tuesday, April 1, 2003.
Her funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, April 4, at Hillside Funeral Home in Augusta.
She was preceded in death by son, Larry Drake and brother, Warren Smith.
Survivors include: sons, Mike Smith of Wichita, Terry Drake of Wellington, Lloyd Drake, Mark Drake both of Rose Hill, Randy Drake of Andover; daughters, Kandra Taylor of Wichita, Tonya Conrady of Andover; brothers, Bill Smith of Clearwater, Bob Smith of Wichita; sisters, Lorraine Voss of El Dorado, Shirley Lindal of Independence; 30 grandchildren; 16 greatgrandchildren.

Linda S. Lago, 54, Augusta, homemaker and retired CNA, died Monday, March 24, 2003.
Private family services will be held.
Survivors include: husband, Larry Lago of Augusta; sons, Brian Lago of Augusta, Barry Lago of Salida, Colo.; daughters, Missy Lakin of Augusta, Michele Tuschhoff of Overland Park; mother, Fauneal Haury of Augusta; brothers, Chuck Haury of Georgia, Bill Haury of Augusta; sisters, Katie Haury of Georgia, Sharon Haury of California.; 17 grandchildren.

Jody M. Clark, 75, Wichita, mother of Craig Clark of Augusta, died Wednesday, April 2, 2003.
Her service was held this morning at Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Wichita.
Other survivors include: husband, Clifford; sons, Chad of McPherson, Mike of Dallas; daughters, Nancy Hessney of Great Falls, VA, Jane Williams of Overland Park; 10 grandchildren; one great-grandchild.
