Marshall Knight
Marshall Knight, 78, Mountain Park, Okla., brother and brother-in-law of Aleen and John McVay of Augusta, died Wednesday, April 9, 2003.
Graveside service was held Saturday in the Navajo Cemetery, northeast of Altus, Okla.
Survivors include: children, Helen and Richard Ruth of Oklahoma City, Marshall Ray and Renae Knight of Oklahoma City, Shirley and Gerald Lacy of Hedrick, Okla., Marla Knight of Fort Madison, Iowa, Marsha and John Knight of Mountain Park, Okla., Drath Linn Westbrook and Claude Miller of Mountain Park, Okla.; numerous grandchildren and greatgrandchildren.
Becker Funeral Home of Snyder, Okla, handled the arrangements.
Virginia Lee Williams
Virginia Lee Williams, 70, Chaney, homemaker, sister of Ruby Widener of Augusta, died on March 23, 2003.
Graveside service was held on Wednesday, March 26, 2003. Interment was in Mount Hope Cemetery, Independence.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Minnie Landon, and sister, Gladys Williams.
Survivors include: husband, Dudley Williams; sons, Richard and wife, Janet of Independence, Keith, of Independence, Roger of Reno, Nev.; sisters, Margie Williams of San Antonio, Tex.; five grandchildren, John and Jimmy Williams of Independence, Jessica, Kenneth and Aaron of Camp Verde, Ariz.; nieces and nephews.
Graves Mortuary of Cheney had charge of the arrangements.
William Ira Shackelford
William Ira Shackelford, 89, Bentonville, Ark., former Kansas Milling Co. Malt Plant operator, father of Donnie Shackelford of Augusta, died Saturday, April 12, 2003.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 16, at the Bentonville Freewill Baptist Church.
Other survivors include: daughter, Levita Blaine Coley of Tulsa, Okla.; son, Philip Shackelford of Bentonville; brother. Rev. Frank Shackelford of Wichita; sister, Mabel Ferguson of Bentonville; 10 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren.
Memorial established with Gideons International.
Benton County Funeral Home of Bentonville, Ark. has charge of the arrangements.
Berdie I. Ordway
Berdie I. Ordway, 99, Wichita, retired Sears-Roebuck Company sales clerk, mother of Louise Greever of Augusta, died Saturday, April 26, 2003.
Her graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, April 29, at Old Mission Cemetery in Wichita.
Visitation is possible from 4 to 8 p.m. today, April 28, at Old Mission Mortuary of Wichita.
She was preceded in death by: husband, Frank Ordway; daughter, Velva Deanne “Bobbie” Berryman; four grandchildren.
Other survivors include: daughter, Shirley McCully of Wichita, Frances Hatcher of Mesa, Ariz.; sister, Madge Rue of Des Moines, Iowa; one son-in-law; two sisters-in-law; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.
Old Mission Mortuary of Wichita has charge of the arrangements.
Margaret Bush
Margaret (Peggy) Wakefield Bush, 80, Augusta, died Monday, April 21, 2003.
Her funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, April 23, at the Douglass United Methodist Church.
Visitation is possible from 1 to 8 p.m. today, April 22, at the Hilyard-Smith Mortuary in Douglass.
She was preceded in death by: parents, Homer and Ruby Wakefield; husband, Walter; son, Daniel; brothers, Thomas, Joe and Eldon Wakefield; sister, Florence Martin; one granddaughter.
Survivors include: daughters and sons-in-law, Sara and Jay Rich, Alys Parks, Martha and Jeff Hart; sister, Garnet Hill; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
