Frances Baker

Frances“Louise” (Lipscomb) Baker, 83, Andover, formerly of Augusta, homemaker, died Sunday, June 15, 2003.
Rosary will be at 7:30 p.m. tomorrow at Hillside Funeral Home Chapel in Augusta. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, June 18 at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Andover.
She was preceded in death by husband, Raymond.
Survivors include: sons, Don, Joe, Chuck, all of Andover, Greg of Great Bend; daughters, Peggy Baker of Wichita, Maurine Holtzinger of Andover; 11 grandchildren; eight greatgrandchildren.
Memorials established with St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 123 N. Andover Rd., Andover, 67002, and Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice, 313 S. Market, Wichita, 67202.
Hillside Funeral Home of Augusta has charge of the arrangements.

Lois J. Nuce

Lois Jane Nuce, 76, Moundridge, certified nurse’s aide, former resident of Butler County, died Tuesday, June 17, 2003.
Her funeral service will be 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 21 at Moundridge Township Cemetery in Moundridge.
Interment will be at Mound Township Cemetery In Moundridge.
She was preceded in death by husband, Arthur A. Nuce and sister, Mona Lee Freeman.
Survivors are: sons, William Nuce of Wichita, Warren Nuce of Moundridge; daughters, Twana Villarreal of McPherson, Gidget Paris of Hutchinson; 11 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren.
Memorial established with In Touch Ministry. Moundridge Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

‘Mike’ Sears

Michael E. “Mike” Sears, 62, Augusta, retired railroad dispatcher and father of Todd Sears of Augusta, died Tuesday, June 17, 2003.
His funeral service will be 10 a.m. tomorrow, June 20, at Lakeview Cemetery in Erie.
Survivors include: sons, Clint, Todd of Augusta, Troy, Josh; daughter, Hallie Sears; stepson, Chris Sampson; brother, Gene; sisters, Doris Roets, Cathy Cook; 12 grandchildren.
Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home of Parsons had charge of the arrangements.

Estella McKee

Estella Faye McKee, 91, Augusta, formerly of Laverne, Okla., died Wednesday, June 18, 2003.
Her graveside service will be held on Sunday, June 22 at Laverne Cemetery in Laverne, Okla.
Estella married Charles McKee in Buffalo, Okla, on Nov. 20, 1930. They had 56 wonderful years together.
She was the loving mother of Carol Hoch and grandmother of Tamara Cook of Augusta.
She took her grandparenting very seriously by spoiling all of the nine grandchildren at Daubers Variety Store and taking her life in her own hands by teaching five granddaughters their driving skills. Her involvement in her family is reflected now in the lives of her three children, they too are very involved grandparents.
Her last few weeks on this earth were difficult, but she never complained. She will truly be missed by her family, but never forgotten.
She was preceded in death by husband, Charles, brother, Leon Couch and her parents.
Survivors are: three children and their families, Carol Hoch of Augusta, J.C. McKee of Laverne, Okla., Marjorie Hennigh of Sayre, Okla.; brother, Karl Couch of Shattuck, Okla.; nine grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts can be made to Hospice Care of Kansas or Lakepoint Rehabilitation and Nursing Center-Augusta in care of Dunsford Funeral
