Beryl Mohler

Beryl E. Mohler, 74 of Augusta died Friday evening, June 20, 2003 at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, Kansas.
The celebration of his life will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday,
June 24, at the First Christian Church in Augusta, Kansas. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery.
Pastor Doug Amend will officiate at the services.
He was born Feb. 10, 1929 in Latham, Kansas, the son of Gordon and Vena (White) Mohler.
He has lived in the Butler County area all of his life and graduated from the Leon High School.
On Oct. 10, 1947 he was united in marriage to Rosemary Sailer in Leon, Kansas. Beryl retired after 42 years of service from Beech Aircraft. He retired as the supervisor of the Tool and Die Department. He continued working for Beech Aircraft for an additional seven years on a contract basis.
Memberships include the First Christian church. For more than 35 years he taught Sunday School at both Leon and Augusta. He served as a church Elder, the teacher of the Seekers Sunday School Class, worked with the Gideons International, the Machinist Union and the Beechcraft Retirees.
Surviving family include his wife, Rosemary of the home; one son, Barry and his wife Sue Mohler of El Dorado; one daughter, Genie and her husband Wayne Willhite of Howard, Kansas; sisters, Edith Hull of Whitewater, Joyce Schmidt and Wanda Haigler both of
El Dorado, Leona Knight of Leon, Kansas; grandchildren Dustin and his wife Elaina, Susannah Willhite, Wendy Mohler, Lacy Mohler; and great grandchild, Mikah Willhite. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Timothy Willhite.
Memorials have been established with the First Christian Church of Augusta or the Ronald McDonald House. Contributions may be left with the Kirby-Morris Funeral home who has charge of the arrangements.

Charles R. McCullough

Charles R. McCullough, 82, Augusta, McCullough Jewelry owner, died Sunday, June 22, 2003.
His graveside service of remembrance will be 11 a.m. Thursday, June 26, at Elmwood Cemetery in Augusta.
He was a World War II Army veteran, Past Master of the Augusta Masonic Lodge and member of the Shrine Consistory.
Survivors are: wife, Lora Waneta McCullough of Augusta; stepson, Pat Curtis of El Dorado; daughter and husband, Gloria and Randy Miller of Wichita; stepdaughters and spouse, Helene and Bill McKay of Wichita, Elizabeth Morton of Augusta; sister, Mary Ray of Kansas City, Ks.; grandchildren, McKenzie Morton; niece and spouse, Barbara and John White of Augusta; numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial established with Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice. Hillside Funeral Home of Augusta has charge of the arrangements.

‘Ruby’ Groves

Mary Ann “Ruby” (Martin) Groves, 82, El Dorado, formerly of Augusta, died Thursday, June 19, 2003.
Her funeral service was held today, June 23, at Kirby-Morris Funeral Home in El Dorado.
Survivors include: husband, Gerald of the home; sons and daughters-in-law, Kenneth and Gladys Groves of Iola, Dennis Groves and Jayne Link of Manhattan; daughter and son-in-law, Cynthia and Jim Baker of Claremore, Okla.; grandchildren, Chad Baker and wife, Monica of San Antonio, Texas, Joshua Groves of Wichita, Jacqueline Groves of Manhattan, Ty Baker of Edmond, Okla..
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Frank and Leora Martin, brother, Melvin Martin, and sister, Helen Abel.
Memorials have been established with Kansas Women’s Golf Association College Scholarship Fund, do Karen Hunt Exon, V.P., 2310 SW Mayfair Place, Topeka, 66611, and Hospice Care of Kansas, 115 W. Central, El Dorado, 67042.
Kirby-Morris Funeral Home of El Dorado had charge of the arrangements.
