Kenneth D. Bartlett, 78, Augusta, retired United States Army Master Sergeant, died Saturday, Aug. 23, 2003.
Visitation with family 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Dunsford Funeral Home Chapel in Augusta.
His funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 27, at the Augusta Assembly of God Church.
Survivors include: wife, Mabel; children; Scott Bartlett of Twin Falls, Idaho, Bill Taylor of El Dorado, Tommy Taylor of Valley Center, Jackie Stephenson, Frank Taylor, Glenna Myers, Keith Morris, all of Augusta; 14 grandchildren; 18 greatgrandchildren.
Dunsford Funeral Home of Augusta has charge of the arrangements.
Mark B. Adams
Mark B. Adams, 52, Oklahoma City, Okla., computer programmer for Hertz Corporation, died Tuesday, Aug. 26, 2003.
He was the son of Verna and the late Melvin Ashland, formerly of Augusta.
Inurnment services at Pioneer Cemetery will be held later.
Survivors are: mother, Verna of Lawrence; sister, Linda Liles, Longmont, Colo.; one nephew.
The family suggests memorials to the National Wildlife Foundation or charity of donor’s choice.
Warren-McElwain Mortuary of Lawrence is in charge of the arrangements.
Paul A. Carlson
Paul A. Carlson, 90, Wichita, retired Carlson Manufacturing Co. owner and rancher, father of Frank Carlson and Michael Carlson, both of Augusta, died Monday, Aug. 25, 2003.
Rosary 1 p.m. Friday,Aug. 29, funeral mass at 1:30 p.m. Friday, both at St. Bridget’s Catholic Church in Scammon.
Survivors include: children, Pauletta A. Carlson, Wichita, Sammy K. Flaharty of Garden Plain, George M. Carlson of Wichita, Leslie P. Carlson of Hendersonville, Tenn., and Frances Carlson of Wichita; 12 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one great-great-grand-child.
Memorial has been established with St. Bridget’s Catholic Church, P.O. Box 68, Scammon, 66773.
Cochran Mortuary of Wichita has charge of the arrangements.
Elma Johnson
Elma Jane Johnson, 68, Wichita, retired National Cash Register assembler, sister of Everett Kimball of Augusta, died Monday, Aug. 25, 2003.
Her funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 28, at Carlson Funeral Home in El Dorado.
Other survivors include: husband, Leslie; sons, Darrell of Rose Hill, John of Wichita.
Carlson Funeral Home of El Dorado is in charge of arrangements.
Doris L. Nyce
Doris L. Nyce, 75, Enid, Okla., mother and mother-in-law of Cherilyn and Ronald Chiaro of Augusta, died Thursday, Aug. 28, 2003.
Her funeral service was held today, Sept. 2, at St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church in Enid. Burial followed in Enid Cemetery.
She was preceded in death by parents, Harry and Heloise Howell Achee, and husband A.W. (Bill) Nyce.
Other survivors include: sons, Brooks Nyce and Kent Nyce; four grandchildren.
Memorials established with St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church, 518 W. Randolph, Enid, Okla., 73701, and Oklahoma Medical Research
Foundation, 825 NE 13th, Oklahoma City, 73104.

Sheridian Lynea Hernandez, 17 weeks old, Wichita, granddaughter of Sandra Dix of Augusta, died Saturday, Aug. 30, 2003.
There will be no services.
Other survivors include: parents, Shadrach Hernandez and Jennifer Howard; sisters, Shaianne and Shayla Hernandez; brother, Zane Gerwig, all of Wichita; grandmother, Mary Lou Egan of Wichita; great-grandparents, Rex and Pauline Henderson of Wichita.
Culbertson-Smith Mortuary of Wichita has charge of arrangements.
