Helen Carrington

Helen Carrington, 90, Andover, retired proof reader for Wichita Eagle, died Friday, Sept. 5, 2003.
Her funeral servicewill be 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 11, at Prairie Hills Baptist Church.
Visitation will be 1 to 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 10, at Dunsford Funeral Chapel.
Survivors are: sons, Jim of Hutchinson, Gary of Okla., Richard of Wichita; daughters, Frances Pellet of New Jersey and Shirley Schroder of Springfield, Mo.; 13 grandchildren; and 15 greatgrandchildren.
Dunsford Funeral Home of Augusta has charge of the arrangements.

Steven R. Stone

Steven R. Stone, 43, Augusta, Lear Jet mechanic, died Sunday, Sept. 7, 2003.
His memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 10, at Hillside Funeral Home in Augusta.
Survivors are: wife, Cheryl of Augusta; stepson, Mason Rooker; stepdaughters, Brandi Crossland and Rikki Scriven; father and mother-in-law, Jacob E. and Monica Stone; brother, Michael Stone; sisters, Lisa Hale and Sharon Stone; four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by; mother, Paula Martinez;
son, Travis Miles Stone; and sister, Nancy Stone.
A memorial established with Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice, 313 S. Market, Wichita, 67202.
Hillside Funeral Home of Augusta is handling the arrangements.

Cheryl Kay Harjo

Cheryl Kay Harjo, 47, Wichita, Anesthesiology Chartered medical records employee, sister of Susan Schriner of Augusta, died Friday, Sept. 5, 2003.
Her funeral service will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 10, at Rivercrest Free Methodist Church in Wichita.
She was preceded in death by sister, Charlotte Cooper.
Other survivors include: husband, Gary of the home; son, Samuel Nelson of Wichita; two grandchildren; parents, Bobby D. and Roberta Schriner of Marquette; brothers, Bobby G. Schriner of Wichita, Ronald Schriner of Broken Arrow, Okla.; sisters, Karen Schriner of Marquette, and Kay Schriner of Murdock.
Hillside Funeral Home East Chapel of Wichita has charge of the arrangements.

Jerry Rodriguez

Jerry Rodriguez, 82, Beaumont, a decorated World War II soldier, has died.
His funeral will be 10 a.m. Friday at the Carlson Funeral Home in El Dorado.

Leslie K. Emmons

Leslie K. “Keith” Emmons, 55, Latham, farmer, father of Gary Zongker of Augusta, died* Thursday, Sept. 4, 2003.
His funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 9, at Latham United Methodist Church.
He was preceded in death by mother, Jennie Emmons and brother, Jerry Emmons.
Other survivors include: son, Mike Zongker of Wagoner, Okla.; daughters, Angela Cool of Austin, Texas and Tara Emmons of Wichita; father, Bennett Emmons of Latham; 10 grandchildren.
Memorial established with American Diabetes Association, 837 S. Hillside, Wichita.

Donald D. Bing

Donald D. Bing, 64, Latham, El Dorado Correctional Facilities officer, son of Inez Bing of Augusta, died Friday, Sept. 5, 2003.
His funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 11, at Carlson Funeral Home in El Dorado.
Other survivors are: wife, Judy; son, Chris of Baton Rouge, La.; daughter, Kathy Koch of Holyrood; one brother; one sister.
Carlson Funeral Home of El Dorado is in charge of the arrangements.
