Tyler D. Janzen
Tyler Dane Janzen, 18. Augusta, died Wednesday, Oct. 8, 2003, in Overland Park.
His funeral service will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday. Oct. 11, at Augsuta First United Methodist Church.
Visitation will be possible at the church between 10 a.m. and noon.
Janzen was a student at Johnson County Community College.
He was born Nov. 10, 1984 in Wichita as the son of Jack and Teri Janzen of Augusta.
In addition to his parents, he leaves a brother, Tanner Janzen, grandparents, Fritz and Louetta Buell, Don and Irene Janzen of Moundridge, Robert and Delores O’Daniel of Rapid City, S.D., numerous cousins, aunts, and uncles.
Memorials may be made to the Tyler Janzen Memorial Fund.
Dunsford Funeral Home of Augusta is in charge of arrangements.
Ella Louise Whittaker
Ella Louise Whittaker, 83, Eureka, homemaker, mother of Robert Whittaker of Augusta, died Wednesday, Oct. 8, 2003.
Her funeral service will be at 10 a.m., Monday, Oct. 13, at the Koup Family Funeral Home in Eureka
Visitation will be held possible from 6 to 8 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 12.
Other survivors include: sons, Clive Whittaker III of Albuquerque, N.M., James Whittaker of Sabetha, Mike Whittaker of Eureka; nine grandchildren; 13 greatgrandchildren.
She was preceded in death by: her parents, James William and Carrie Ella (Fergeson) Patteson; husband, C.C. Whittaker; one brother and five sisters.
A memorial has been established with the Midian Shrine Plane of Mercy.
Koup Family Funeral Home of Eureka has charge of the arrangements.
Robert L. ‘Bob’ Ninke
Robert L. “Bob” Ninke, 72, Augusta, died Wednesday, Oct. 8, 2003.
His funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 11, at Headley Funeral Chapel of Augusta.
Visitation will be possible until 8 p.m. today with family present from 5 to 7 p.m.
Mr. Ninke worked in the MRB Quality Control crib at Cessna Aircraft for 40 years, retiring in 1996.
His survivors are: wife, Patsy of Augusta; sons, Randy Goucher of Augusta, Charlie Goucher of Pahrump, Nev.; daughters, Marilyn McClure, Tricia Bassingthwaighte, Connie Clark, all of Augusta, Donella O’Gorman of Amarillo, Texas, Cindy Fowler of Derby, Terri Moss of Glendale, Ariz.; brother, Bill Ninke of New Jersey; 20 grandchildren; seven greatgrandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two son-in-laws and two grandchildren.
The family requests donations to Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice, 313 S. Main, Wichita, 67202.
Headley Funeral Chapel of Augusta is handling the arrangements.
Everett Lawrence Capps
Everett Lawrence Capps, 94, Augusta, retired Santa Fe Railway employee, died Saturday, Oct. 11, 2003.
His graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 14, at Elmwood Cemetery in Augusta.
Visitation from 2 to 5 p.m. today, Oct. 13, at Dunsford Funeral Home in Augusta.
Survivors are: son, Clayton of Augusta; daughters, Fay Turner and Phyllis Capps, both of El Dorado; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren.
Arrangements are under the direction of Dunsford Funeral Home of Augusta.
Arthur L. Walter
Arthur L. “Art” Walter, 57, Wichita, Lakepoint dietary manager and former dietary supervisor of Augusta Medical Complex, died Wednesday, Oct. 8, 2003.
His funeral service was held Saturday, Oct. 11, at Carlson Funeral Home in El Dorado.
Survivors are: wife, Carol Leonard-Walter; mother, Cleta Langley; step sons, Carl Leonard, Bryon Leonard; step daughter, Kimberly Burton; sisters, Rebecca Sharbutt, Beulah Roper, Raydal Lagatles, Helen Murphy; eight step grandchildren.
Carlson Funeral Home of El Dorado had charge of the arrangements.
