Sister Dies In Kansas City
Lola M. Mott, 58, Iola, sister of Albert Roush of Augusta, died at the North Kansas City Memorial Hospital Saturday.
Her service was at 2 p.m. today at the Waugh-Yokum Funeral Home there. Rev. Terry Rhoads officiated and burial was in the LaHarpe, Kan., cemetery.
She was born Aug. 16, 1924 in Iola to Henry and Alpha Coltrane Roush
She married Frank Mott in 1941 in Iola. He survives.
She worked at the North Kansas City Memorial Hospital as a housekeeper for the last eight years.
Other survivors include sons, Wayne of Kansas City, Mo., David of Claycoma, Mo.; daughter, Sally Young of Kansas City, Mo.; stepmother, Stella Roush of Chanute; brothers, Clark Roush of Iola, Jack Roush of Colony, Bud Roush of Cheney; sisters, Margaret Raynes of Great Bend and Elsie Huckabee of Middleton, Idaho, and six grandchidren.

Brother Dies In Wichita
Lawrence W. Dewey, 71, brother of Theodore Dewey of Augusta, died Thursday, May
His funeral service was Monday at the Broadway Mortuary in Wichita and burial was today in the Fort Leavenworth National Cemetery.
A memorial has been established with the Broadway Christian Church.
Other survivors include his wife, Loda; sons, Larry II at home, Dennis of Chanute, Steve Batman of Andover; daughters, Deborah Dewey of Longmont, Colo., Linda Livingston of Hutchinson, and a sister, Hazel Dewey of Rose Hill.

Elden Slater Dies At 78
Elden Jasper Slater, 78, 2101 Dearborn, died Tuesday, May 24, at the Augusta Medical Complex.
Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Thursday at the Fredonia (Kan.) cemetery. Pastor Dean McCormick will officiate.
He was born March 7, 1905 in Fredonia to William and Martha DeWitt Slater.
He married Anna Frances Wood Oct. 17, 1936. She preceded him in death.
He was a retired Frisco Railroad employee and a member of the Assembly of God in Wichita.
Survivors include brothers, Martin Slater of Wichita and John Slater of Washington, and sisters, Betty Pound Marolyn Shunterman, both of Shell Knob, Mo., and Dorothy Thornton, Cherryvale.

Mother Dies In Wichita
Frances P. Fulkerson, 84, Wichita, mother of Harold Fulkerson of Augusta, died Tuesday at the Wesley Medical Center in Wichita.
Her service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the DeVorss Mortuary in Wichita. Rev. Jesse H. Vardaman will officiate and burial will be in the Eden Cemetery in Milton.
She was born Jan. 16, 1899 in Conway Springs to Stephen and Clara Day Edwards.
She married W.G. Fulkerson in 1926 in Conway Springs. He survives.
She was a teacher.
Other survivors include a daughter, Shirlene Dale of Oak Ridge, Tenn.; sisters, Claudine Ryder of Wichita and Hazel Entz of Whitewater; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Mother Dies In Arkansas
Nova Louis Patterson, 70, mother of Dorotha Aitchison of Augusta, died May 22 in Ozark, Ark.
Her funeral service was Tuesday in Arkansas and burial was in the Highland Cemetery at Ozark.
In addition the daughter here, Mrs. Patterson leaves three more daughters, two brothers, several grandchildren including Charles Aitchison of Augusta, and several great grandchildren including Richard, Edna and Christine Aitchison, all of Augusta.

Agnes Schoonover Service Saturday
Agnes Constance Schoonover, 88, Wichita, died Wednesday at the Lincoln East nursing home in Wichita.
Her service will be 10 a.m. Saturday at St. James Catholic Church with Father James Eatough officiating, A rosary will be recited at the Dunsford Funeral Home chapel at 7 o’clock tomorrow night.
She was born June 19, 1894 in Douglass as a daughter of Timothy and Mary Blubaugh Sapp.
She married John J. Johnston in 1954 and Virgil Schoonover in 1964. Both husbands preceded her in death.
Mrs. Schoonover leaves three sons, David and John Johnston, both of Wichita, Arthur Johnston of Augusta; a daughter, Theodora Winters of Eureka,; 16 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
