Cindy Parkerson

Cindy Lynn Parkerson, 47, Burden, died Saturday, Jan. 10, 2004.
Her funeral service was held today. Jan. 14.
Survivors include: son, Justin Payne of Augusta; daughters, Tara Hying of Andover, Krista McLaughlin and Karen Brewer, both of Augusta; parents, Pat and “ Virgil Jenkins of Winfield; brothers, Don Parkerson of College Station, Texas, Jeff Jenkins of Winfield; sisters, Mimi Campbell of Winfield, Hilary Jenkins of Augusta; seven grandchildren.
Miles Funeral Service of Winfield handled the arrangements.

Lee A. McCluskey

Lee A. McCluskey, 84, Andover, employee in Wichita automobile business fro 1944-1989, father of John A. McCluskey of Augusta, died Friday, Jan. 9, 2004.
His funeral service was held today at Faith Baptist Church in Andover. Other survivors include: son, A.P. of Chula Vista, Calif., Jerry of Altus, Okla.; daughter, Connie James of Andover; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren.
Memorial established with Faith Baptist Church, 417 W. Central, Andover, 67002. Hillside Funeral Home East of Wichita handled the arrangements.

Austin E. Nichols

Austin Ernest Nichols, 74, Augusta, died Tuesday, Jan. 13, 2004.
His service to celebrate his life will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 16, at Headley Funeral Chapel of Augusta.
Visitation will be from 1 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 15, at the funeral home.
Mr. Nichols was born in Howe, Okla., on May, 29, 1929, the son of the
late Charles Lesley and Alta Lee (Woods) Nichols.
He was a tool and dye maker for Boeing Aircraft and served in the United States Army in the Korean War.
On Nov. 20,1976, he married Constance Henderson. She survives.
In addition to his wife, other survivors are: daughters, Rebecca and husband, Shawn Bashaw of Arkansas City, Gayla E. Waller of Okmulgee, Okla.; step sons, Ray and wife, Kathy McClure of Augusta, Steve McClure of El Dorado; granddaughters, Gwendolyn and Kimberly Waller of Okmulgee, Okla.; grandsons, Ethan and Blake Bashaw of Arkansas City, Mitch Katy of Wichita, Nick and Lee McClure of Augusta; sister, Edith A. Watkins of Augusta; brothers, Oren W. Nichols and Floyd H. Nichols, both of Augusta, Ralph W. and Orville O. Nichols, both of Sapulpa, Okla., Marvin M. Nichols of Decatur, ILL., Kenneth R. Nichols of Burns, Jimmie K. Nichols of Wichita; 27 nieces arid nephews and numerous great-nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by sister, Shirley M. Nichols and brothers, Earl L. Nichols and Utah C. Nichols.
Headley Funeral Chapel of Augusta has charge of the arrangements.

Ruby Thomas

Ruby Thomas, 84, Wichita, retired Derby schools employee, mother - and mother-in-law of Larry and Cindy Thomas of Douglass, died Monday, Jan. 12, 2004.
Her funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday at Smith Mortuary in Derby.
Other survivors are: sons, Bob of Mulvane, Charles of Wichita; daughter, Sherry Dianne Heinrichs of Andover; sisters, Ruth Redditt and LaVerne Anderson, both of Little Rock, Ark., 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by husband, Jay and son, Donald. Memorial donations may be made to South City Southern Baptist Church.
Arrangements are under the direction of Smith Mortuary of Derby.
