James R. Robinson
James R. Robinson, 68, Wichita, retired Huttig Building Products employee and former partner in Robinson Lumber Co., father and father-in-law of Ted and Dana Phillips of Augusta, died Sunday, Jan. 25, 2004.
His funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 28, at Lakeview Funeral Home in Wichita.
Other survivors include: sons, Bill Phillips, Keith Phillips, both of Wichita; daughter, Christine
Whitehead of Herington; sister, Joyce Cass of Fall River; devoted friend,
Barbara Walk; 13 grandchildren; one great-grand-
daughter; numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Eva Robinson and sister, Shirley Steeby.
Memorials are suggested to Fairmount United Church of Christ in Wichita.
Lakeview Funeral Home of Wichita has charge of the arrangements.
Roberta Sue ‘Bobbye’ Cox
Roberta Sue “Bobbye” Cox, 69, Wichita, grandmother of Toby and Michael Faulconer, both of Augusta, died Thursday, Jan. 8, 2004.
Her memorial service was held on Jan. 14, at Elliott Mortuary Chapel in Anthony.
Survivors include: children, Sheryl Ressler of Haven and formerly of Augusta, Steven Cox of Memphis, Tenn., and Robert Cox of Haysville; four grandsons; three great-grandchildren; sister, Freida Schmidt of Freeport.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Lee and Susie Jane Johnson Hudgens; and her husband, Robert G. Cox.
Memorials in her memory may be made to Faith Hospice or the Anthony Community Foundation.
Elliott Mortuary of Anthony handled the arrangements.
Geraldine E. Pouncey
Geraldine E. Pouncey, 81, Batavia, ILL., formerly of Augusta, died Wednesday, Jan. 28, 2004.
A memorial service will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 2, at the Ahlstrand Chapel in the Holmstad Retirement Community in Batavia, ILL. Private burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery in Augusta.
Her survivors are: sons, Duane Pouncey of St. Charles, ILL., Scott Pouncey
of Elgin, ILL.; three granddaughters; one great-granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by: her parents, Grover and Elizabeth (Scott) Stuckey; her husband, Emmett; brother, Scott Stuckey.
Arrangements are under the direction of Moss Family Funeral Home in Batavia, ILL.
Zelma Viola Flower
Homemaker Zelma Viola Flower, 93, Augusta, died Monday, Jan. 26, 2004.
Her graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 2, at the Mulvane Cemetery.
Visitation from 1 to 8 p.m. Sunday, at Senter-Smith Mortuary in Mulvane.
Survivors are: daughter, Joetta Baker of Leon; two grandchildren; three step grandchildren; three greatgrandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren.
Senter-Smith Mortuary of Mulvane has charge of the arrangements.
Wilford Crane
Retired auto mechanic Wilford “Willie” Crane, 79, Rogersville, Mo., father of Kathy Rountree of Augusta, died Thursday, Jan. 29, 2004.
Cremation is planned.
The Greenlawn Funeral Home South in Springfield, Mo., has charge of the arrangements.
Visitation with the family will be possible from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Feb. 3, at the funeral home.
