Kendall Dale Cox
Kendall Dale Cox, five day old infant son of Brad and Tammy Cox of Andover, died Saturday, Feb. 7, 2004.
There will be a private family graveside service.
A service of remembrance will be held at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 12, at the First Baptist Church in Augusta.
Other, survivors include: twin brother, Kenan Dean Cox; grandparents, Gene and Pat Cox of rural Andover, Don and Loweta Finlay of Augusta; great-grandparents, Naoma Finlay of Augusta, Betty Pinon of El Dorado; great-grandmother, Florence Dean of Wichita; uncles, J.M.Cox and wife, Susan of Andover, Eric Finlay of Augusta; aunt, Teresa Finlay of Wichita; cousin, Chance Cox of Andover.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Cox Family Fund c/o Prairie State Bank.
Headley Funeral Chapel of Augusta has charge of the arrangements.
Deloris Medlam
Deloris L. Medlam, 85, Caldwell, half-sister of Evalee Anderson of Augusta, died Monday, Feb. 9, 2004.
Her funeral service was held today, Feb. 11, at First Presbyterian Church in Freeport.
Other survivors include: husband, Alvin Sr.; sons, A.L. Medlam of Caldwell, Larry Medlam of Clearwater; daughters, Virginia Gerberding of Caldwell, Glenda Noah of Cedar Vale; brother, Marl Dicus, Wichita; half-brother, George Wagner, Tyler, Texas; half-sisters, Hazel Aargon of Wichita, Anita Reay of Sun City, Ariz.; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren.
Day Funeral Home of Caldwell handled the arrangements.
Cleona O. Hogsett
Cleona 0. Hogsett, 93, formerly of Augusta, retired ward clerk at Asbury Hospital in Salina and employee at St. Johns Military School, died Tuesday, Feb. 10, 2004.
Private family graveside service will be held at Elmwood Cemetey in Augusta.
Family will receive guests at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 14, at Dunsford Funeral Home in Augusta.
Survivors are: son, Jerry Abbot and wife, Jan of Ft. Myers, Fla.; daughter, Loresta Dunsfield of Wichita; sister, Georgetta Shaw of Manitou Springs, Colo.; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild. “
She was preceded in death by: husband, Don Broomfield, Sr.; son, Don Broomfield, Jr.; and parents, George S. and Therrisa C. (Harper) Baird.
A memorial has been established with First Nazarene Church in Salina.

Eva Jeanette (Clawson) Carr
Eva Jeanette (Clawson) Carr, 92, Augusta, died Monday, Feb. 16, 2004.
A service to celebrate her life will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 18, at Headley Funeral Chapel in Augusta.
Visitation will be from 1 to 8 p.m. today, with family present to receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mrs. Carr was born in El * Dorado on Oct. 13,1911, the daughter of the late Dick and Effie (Snorf) Clawson.
She owned and operated the Dariette of Augusta for more than 30 years. She was a member of the Rebekah Lodge 350 and a member of the Augusta First United Methodist Church.
On Aug. 6, 1932 she married George Carr. He preceded her in death.
Her survivors are: son, Stephen and wife, Debbie Carr of Augusta, son, Dick Carr of Santa Fe, N.M.; sister, Clementine Reid of Santa Clarita, Calif.; five grandchildren; 10 greatgrandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
Also preceding her in death: daughter, Clemie Jo Davis; brother, Alva Clawson; sister, Arietta Pearce.
Family requests donations to First United Methodist Church of Augusta, or Alzheimer’s Association.
Arrangements are under the direction of Headley Funeral Chapel of Augusta.
