Joseph F. Light
Joseph F. Light, 77, Howard, retired United States Army Reserve Sergeant Major, brother of Norma Lord of Augusta, died Saturday, Feb. 14, 2004.
His funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Howard United Methodist Church.
Other survivors are: wife, Bertha; son, Larry of El Dorado; daughters, Barbara Smith of Eureka, Marlyn Long of Independence; brother, Charles of Howard; sisters, Harriet Hyler of Howard, Carol Jean Long of Cedar Vale; 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren.
A memorial has been established with the Howard United Methodist Church.
Arrangements are by Zimmerman Funeral Home of Howard. j i,1 nA

Ollie L. Belt, 56, Augusta, died Tuesday, Feb. 17, 2004.
His funeral service will be 4 p.m. Friday, Feb. 20, at the Headley Funeral Chapel in Augusta.
Visitation will be possible from 1 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 19, at the Headley chapel.
Mr. Belt was a letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service.
He leaves a daughter, Michelle Decker of Douglass, his parents, Dillard and Margaret Belt of Lebanon, Mo.; a brother, Daniel Belt of Augusta; a sister, Kathy Craft of Augusta, and two granddaughters.
Donations to the American Heart Association, 5375 W. Seventh, Topeka, KS, 66606 have been suggested.

Arlene Wallick, 76, Augusta, retired Osco pharmacist’s assistant, died Wednesday, Feb. 18, 2004.
Her funeral service will be held at 10 a.m.Saturday, Feb. 21, at Christ Lutheran Church in Augusta.
Visitation from 5 to 8 p.m. on Friday at Headley Funeral Chapel in Augusta.
Survivors include: son, Dennis of Augusta; brothers, Gordon Belgum of Albion, Neb., Burt Belgum of Norfolk, Neb., LeRoy Belgum of Fullerton, Neb.; sister, Carol Strong of Genoa, Neb.; three grandchildren.
Memorials have been requested to the Arlene E. Wallick Memorial Fund or Christ Lutheran Church.
Arrangements are by Headley Funeral Chapel of Augusta.

John B. Thompson Jr., 79, Wichita, husband of Helen Thompson of Augusta, died Sunday, Feb. 22, 2004.
His funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home in Herington.
Other survivors include: son, John of Mulvane; daughters, Vickey Brown of Wichita, Terry Pierce of Haysville; sister, Louise Bryant of Herington; seven grandchildren; five greatgrandchildren.
Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home of Herington has charge of the arrangements.
