Murray Marshall
Murray M. Marshall, 95, Augusta, retired Boeing Aircraft sheet metal worker, died Wednesday, Feb. 25, 2004.
His funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 28, at the Augusta First Christian Church, 1600 State.
Visitation will be from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 27, at Headley Funeral Chapel in Augusta. Family will greet friends from 6 to 8 p.m.
Mr. Marshall was born in Haverhill on July 13, 1908, the son of the late James and Clara (Earll) Marshall.
He was a member of the First Christian Church of Augusta.
On Oct. 11, 1930 he married Doris R. Lipscomb if)* Wichita. She survives.
Other survivors include: son, John and wife, Terri Marshall of Newton; daughter, Janice and husband, Ed Wilson of Augusta; brother, Reverend Donald Marshall of Elizabethton, Tenn.; sister, Mildred Goad of St. Joseph, Mo.; five granddaughters; nine great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.
Memorial donations may be made to the First Christian Church.
Arrangements are under the direction of Headley Funeral Chapel of Augusta.
Lucille K. Williamson
Lucille R. Williamson, 77, El Dorado, mother of Dean Williamson of Augusta, died Monday, Feb. 23, 2004.
Her funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 26, at Carlson Funeral Home in El Dorado. Interment will follow in Sunset Lawns Cemetery.
She was born on April 19, 1926 in El Dorado, the daughter of Lawrence and Agnes (Horstman) Haskins.
She lived in Independence, Mo., for a number of years and returned to El Dorado 30 years ago. She was a retired beautician and a member of the First Christian Church.
On June 22, 1962, she married John Williamson in El Dorado. He preceded her in death on Feb. 26, 1981.
Survivors include: daughters, Elaine Gates and Leanna Frazier, both of El Dorado, Eloise Reeves of Wichita; sons, David Williamson and Bill Williamson, both of El Dorado, Dale Williamson of Germany, Dennis Davidson of Kansas City, Mo., Lon Davidson of Indiana; sister, Betty Richardson of El Dorado; sister-in-law, Mary Haskins of El Dorado; 20 grandchildren; 14 greatgrandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her parents and a brother.
Memorials in her memory for Lakepoint Nursing Center or Hospice of Kansas, may be left at Carlson Funeral Home who has charge of the arrangements.
Marie Shadwell
Marie Shadwell, 90, Augusta, died Sunday, Feb. 22, 2004.
Graveside service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 25, at Maple Park Cemetery in Aurora, Mo.
Survivors include: son, Gordon and wife, Rose Anne Cannady of Augusta; five grandchildren; 17 greatgrandchildren; one great-great-grandchild.
Arrangements are under the direction of Dunsford Funeral Home of Augusta.
Leroy D. Potter
Leroy Dean Potter, 76, Augusta, retired Santa Fe Railroad employee and Beechcraft shears operator, died Sunday, Feb. 22, 2004.
His funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 26, at Hillside Funeral Home Chapel in Augusta.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesday at Hillside Funeral Home.
Survivors include: son, Steve Potter of Augusta; companion, Delores
Hockenberry of Augusta; sister, Jean Luper of Westville, Okla.; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.
Memorial established with American Cancer Society, 400 N. Broadway, Wichita, 67202.
Hillside Funeral Home of Augusta is handling the arrangements.
