Doris M. Langley, 76, Douglass, homemaker, died Friday, May 7, 2004.
Private family services will be held.
Survivors include: son, Mark Taylor of Douglass; two grandchildren.
Memorials established with the Susan G. Komen Foundation or Winfield Elks Club.
Watson’s Garden Chapel and Crematorium of Wichita is handling the arrangements.
Arlyn D. Ray
Arlyn D. Ray, 48, Wichita, plumber and full time Wichita State University student, died Thursday, May 6, 2004.
His funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday at Douglass Christian Church.
Visitation from 4-8 this evening, with the family receiving friends from 6-8 p.m., at Hillside Funeral Home in Augusta.
Survivors include: wife, Stacy L. Ray of the home; step children, Geoff Leazer, Auzia Leazer, both of Salina; mother, Marvaline J. Ray of Haysville; brothers, Robin Ray of Wichita, Dr. Terrill Ray of Alexandria, VA; sister, Marcy Ray of Wichita; one niece.
Memorial donations may go to Mennonite Housing and The Wichita Children’s Home.
Arrangements are under the direction of Hillside Funeral Home of Augusta.
Stephen W. MacKinnon
Stephen W. MacKinnon, 67, Largs, Scotland, brother and brother-in-law of Annie and Edsel Lovette of Augusta, died on Thursday, May 6, 2004.
His survivors include: son, Alexander of Cambridge, England, son, Stephen of Melbourne, Australia; three grandchildren.
He was proceeded in death by his parents, James and Susan MacKinnon, his wife, Anna and his brother, John MacKinnon.
James W. ‘Jim’ Westbrook
James W. “Jim” Westbrook, 75, Augusta, who died Nov. 29, 2003, was buried on April 15, 2004 at Arlington National
Cemetery, Arlington, Va., with full military honors.
There was a service at the Old Fort Meyer Chapel prior to burial.
He was a retired Lieutenant Colonel serving in the Navy and the United States Air Force for over 31 years.
He was a veteran of World War II, Korean, and Vietnam wars. His decorations included the Legion of Merit, Bronze Star, and many others.
Family members attending the service and burial were his surviving wife Dolores of Augusta; sons, Tony of Los Angeles, Calif., Randy and his wife, June, of Leesburg, Va.;
stepson Keith Bieberle and his wife, Mary, of St. John; daughters Cheryl Hoffman of Glen Dale, Calif., Sonya Westbrook of Woodbridge, Va.; stepdaughter Kay Demel and her husband, Rick, of Hiawatha; grandson, Jason Westbrook of Leesburg, Va.; step-grandson Captain Joel Bieberle of Holman Air Force Base, N.M.; step-granddaughters Sarah Britton and her husband, Josh, of Dodge City, and Kristen Demel of Manhattan.
