Rural man hospitalized by accident
Car-truck crash leaves one driver in critical condition
A rural El Dorado man was hospitalized in critical condition following a two-vehicle accident northeast of Augusta late Monday afternoon.
John Woolridge was taken to Wesley Hospital in Wichita following the collision of his Chevrolet Corsica and a private hauling trash truck near the intersection of SW 40th & Hopkins Switch.
He remained in critcal condition as a patient in the surgical intensive care unit of Wesley this morning.
Woolridge was transported to the hospital by Butler County Emergency Medical Services ambulance. The Woolridge car was totaled.
The trash truck was driveable after the accident, according to a sheriff’s office report. The driver of the truck escaped serious injury.

John David Wooldridge

John David Wooldridge, 17, Augusta, died Wednesday, May 19, 2004.
He was a student at Circle High School where he was an avid soccer and baseball
Visitation , will be possible from 3 to 8pm Friday, May 21, Dunsford Funeral Home of Augusta.
His funeral service will be 10 a.m. Saturday, May 22, at Augusta First United Methodist Church, 2420 N. Ohio. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
John is survived by his father Jeff Wooldridge of Albuquerque, N.M.; mother and step-father, Lynette and Brett Dryden of Augusta; brothers Jeffery Wooldridge and Clay Dryden; sister Amanda Wooldridge; grandparents, James and Barbara Gulick of El Dorado, Red and Helen Wooldridge of Longview, Texas, Gary and Judy Dryden of Augusta.
Memorials to the John Wooldridge Circle High Scholarship Fund may be made in care of Dunsford Funeral Home, P.O. Box 26, Augusta, KS 67010.

Ozelle Arnold

Ozelle Arnold, 86, Augusta, retired Wesley Hospital secretary, died Thursday, May 20, 2004.
Graveside service was held Saturday at Elmwood Cemetery in Augusta.
Survivors are brother and sister-in-law, John and Violet Crowe of Augusta.
Memorial donations may be sent to Alzheimer’s Association or American Heart Association.
Hillside Funeral Home of Augusta handled the arrangements.

Delmar Moore

Delmar D. Moore, 48, Wichita, aircraft tool and die maker, brother of Meredith Helton of Augusta, died Friday, May 21, 2004.
His funeral service will be at 1 p.m. on Monday, May 24, at Westlink Christian Church in Wichita.
Survivors include: parents, Darrel and Carol Moore of Wichita; son, Charlie Moore of Wichita; daughters, Jessica Moore of Wichita, Shasta Gregory of Bethany, Okla.; sisters, Karma Onstott and Joleen Blankenship, both of Wichita, Jeannie Piepho of Galena.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Bradley Moore.
Memorial donations may be sent to Victory in the Valley.
Arrangements are under the direction of Hillside West Funeral Home in Wichita.
