Farrol Finney

Farrol D. “Buzz” Finney,
73, Wichita, retired Boeing Aircraft employee and Winfield State Home grounds maintenance , supervisor, died Saturday,
May 22, 2004.
His funeral will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, May 26, at St. Margaret Mary Church in Wichita. Burial will follow at 2:30 p.m. in the Douglass Cemetery in Douglass.
Rosary will be at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 25, at Hillside Funeral Home Chapel in Augusta.
Survivors include: wife of 55 years, Phyllis Finney of Wichita; son, Michael of Wichita; daughter and son-in-law, Shelley and Michael Mullennax of El Dorado; grandchildren, Sean, Amie, Jeremy and April McKibban, Jeffrey Finney; great-grandchildren, Ashton Finney and Kyler McKibban.
Memorials established with Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice and American Cancer Society.
Arrangements under the direction of Hillside Funeral Home of Augusta.

Leota Griffith

Leota “Beryl” Griffith, 86, Eureka, homemaker, sister, Marlys Morgan of Augusta, died Thursday, May 20, 2004.
Funeral service was held this morning at Koup Family Funeral Home in Eureka.
Other survivors are: daughter, Beth Hart of Eureka; two grandchildren; sister, Delores Roberts of Leesburg, Fla.
Arrangements were handled by Koup Family Funeral Home of Eurkea.

Samuel I. Phillips

Samuel Ira Phillips, 80 Clay Center, United State: Navy World War II veterar and developmental machinist with Data Systems ir California, stepfather anc step father-in-law of Gary and Betty Hilton of Augusta, died Thursday, May 24,2004, Graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, ^ May 27, at the Greenwood Cemetery in
with full military honors by Fort Riley. Visitation from 3 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, May 26, at Neill-Schwensen-Rook Funeral Home in Clay Center.
Other survivors include: wife, Betty Phillips of Clay Center; sons, David and Michael Phillips, both of Porterville, Calif.; stepson, Dan Hilton of Clay Center; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by: parents, Samuel and Ruth (Price) Phillips; son, Pat; three sisters and one brother.
Memorial donations may be made to American Heart Association. Arrangements are under the direction of Neill-Schwensen-Rook Funeral Home of Clay Center.

Margaret B. Cerre

Margaret Bernice Cerre, 93, Atchison, mother and mother-in-law of Arthur Cerre, J,r. and wife, Judy of
Augusta, died Saturday, May 22, 2004.
Her funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, at Becker-Dyer-Stanton Funeral Home in Atchison.
Other survivors include: daughter, Vivian Filbert of Bonner Springs; 10 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren.
Becker-Dyer-Stanton Funeral Home of Atchison is handling the arrangements.

Kermit G. Brandt

Former Augustan Kermit Galen Brandt, 65, Pauls Valley, Okla., mechanic and heavy equipment operator, died Sunday, May 23, 2004.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, May 27, at the Paoli Cemetery.
His survivors include: son, Galen of Pauls Valley, Okla.; brother and sister-in-law, Dolan and Joyce Brandt of Augusta; two grandchildren.
Arrangements are under the direction of Stufflebean-Coffey Funeral Home of Pauls Valley, Okla.
