Mary LaFon

Mary “Ruth” LaFon, 94, Anderson,Mo., retired Singer Sewing Co. employee and homemaker, died Wednesday, June 9, 2004.
She was the mother and mother-in-law of Velma “Vicki” and J.W. Simmons of Augusta.
Graveside service is planned at 1 p.m. on Monday, June 14, at New Bethel Cemetery near Anderson, Mo.
Other survivors include: step children, Dennis “Dale” Thrasher, Lloyd Thrasher and Vivian Vancil, all of Anderson,
dren, Charles L. Wood of Longmont, Colo., Kathleen Wagner of Studio City, Calif., Ken Walter, Jr. of Denver, Colo., Jennifer Gross of Brighton, Mich.,

Jewell Leiker

Jewell Leiker, 65, Augusta, retired Cessna data processor and former CJ’s Donut Shop owner, died Saturday, June 12, 2004.
Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 15, at Downing & Lahey East Mortuary in Wichita.
Survivors are: husband, Joe of Augusta; sons and daughters-in-law, Steve and Gay Leiker of St. Louis, Mo., Randy and Paula Leiker of Wichita; daughters and sons-in-law, Cindy and Scotty Little of Wichita, Jackie and Mark Disney of Andover, Kim and Joe Sparks of Broken Arrow, Okla.; brother, Clayton White of Rogers, Ark.; sisters, Jenette White, Bobbie Mays, Linda Noss, all of Wichita; grandchildren, Jason Leiker, Stephanie Wilcox, Jennifer Leiker, Shane Little, Aaron Disney, Mike Palmer, Kyle Little, Amy Disney, Megan Palmer, Jessi Sparks, Katie Palmer, Jeff Sparks, Rebecca Sparks; great-grandson, Jackson Wilcox.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Cleo and Maxine White.
Memorial donations may be sent to American Kidney Fund, 6110 Executive Blvd., Suite 1010, Rockville, Md., 20852.
Arrangements are under the direction of Downing & Lahey East Mortuary of Wichita.

Evelyn V. House

Evelyn V. House, 97, Douglass, died Friday, June 11,2004.
Memorial graveside service at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 19, at the Douglass Cemetery.
Survivors include: son and daughter-in-law, Harold and Beverly of Leawood; two grandchildren; one great-granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold M. House, her mother, brother and two sisters.
Memorial established with Douglass United Methodist Church.
Hilyard-Smith Funeral Home of Douglass has charge of the arrangements.

Richard L. Lampson

Richard L. Lampson, 72, Moline, retired heavy equipment operator, father of Kelly Winter of Augusta, died Friday, June 11, 2004.
Funeral service was held today at the Zimmerman Funeral Home in Howard.
Other survivors are: wife, Florence; son, Lee of Spivey; daughters, Lisa Venable of Springfield, Mo., Dana McCann of Wichita, Tracy Adams of Reeds Spring, Mo.; sister, Mildred Patteson of Moline; 13 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.
A memorial has been established with the American Red Cross.
Arrangements are being handled by Zimmerman Funeral Home in Howard.
