LaVonne D. Markley

LaVonne D. (Buettgenbach) Markley, 74, Augusta, former Beech Aircraft and Frye Chevrolet employee, passed away Friday, June 18, 2004.
A service to celebrate he life will be held at 10 a.m. Church in Augusta.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, June 22,with family present to greet friends from 6 to 8 p.m., at Headley Funeral Chapel in Augusta.
Mrs. Markley was born in Lincoln, Neb. on April 23, 1930, the daughter of the late Harry and Anna (Oeltjenbruns) Schell.
LaVonne graduated from Central High School and continued her education in business school at Lincoln.
On April 22, 1951, she married Robert Buettgenbach in Wichita. He preceded her in death on May 29, 1983.
On Dec. 21, 1986, she married Kenneth Markley in Augusta. He preceded her in death on Jan. 2, 2004.
Survivors include: daughter, Teresa Buettgenbach of Ft. Collins, Colo.; grandchild, Elizabeth
Buettgenbach; step sons and daughters-in-law, Darrell and Jeanine Markley of Augusta, Galen and Paula Markley of Linn Creek, Mo.; step daughters and sons-in-law, Kathleen and Rex Cagle of Augusta, Debbie and Mark Heinrich of Carlsbad, N.M.; brothers, Richard Schpll qf Roca, Neb., Lawrence Schell and Dwight Schell, both of Lincoln, Neb.; sister, Carol May of Bennet, Neb.; 15 step grandchildren, and six step great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husbands, she was also preceded in death by a sister, Harriet Schell.
Family requests memorial donations to Christ Lutheran Church, 1500 Cron, Augusta, 67010.
Arrangements are under the direction of Headley Funeral Chapel of Augusta.

Virginia O. Delaplain

Virginia O. Delaplain, 81, Iola, mother of Loretta Campbell of Augusta, died Saturday, June 19, 2004.
Her funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Highland Cemetery in Iola.
Waugh-Yokum & Friskel Memorial Chapel of Iola has charge of the arrangements.

Ellis Miller

Ellis Miller, Yuma, Ariz., formerly of Augusta, died Saturday, June 19, 2004.
Memorial for friends and family at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, June 30, at Kingdom Hall, 111288 SW Highway 54, Augusta.
Arrangements are under the direction of Sunset Vista Funeral Home of Yuma, Ariz.
