Bessie Ray Crawford

Bessie Ray (Smith) Crawford, 89, Wichita, mother and mother-in-law of Donna Jean and Mike McGinty of Augusta, died Sunday, July 25, 2004.
Her funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 28, at Resthaven Gardens, Garden of Faith in Wichita.
Other survivors include: sons, Sherman Brooks Crawford of Kansas City, Michael Elli's Crawford of Broken Arrow, Okla.; daughters, Priscilla Ray Bordwell of Wichita, Pamela Kay Rozar of Haysville; sisters, Betty McGee and Sally Stewart, both of Washington, Stella Medberry and Doris Smith, both of Grand Island, Neb.; 14 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Elva Sherman “Bud” Crawford.
Resthaven Mortuary of Wichita has charge of the arrangements.

Clifford Hanson

Clifford Hanson, 102, Augusta, retired Production Credit Association field representative, died Monday, July 26, 2004.
Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, July 29, at First Baptist Church in Augusta. Burial will be at the Green Valley Cemetery near Furley.
Visitation from 6 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, July 28, at Headley Funeral Chapel in Augusta.
He was born on Oct. 12, 1901, the son of the late Hans and Carrie (Lien) Hanson in Kanawha, Iowa.
He married Waunita Bachelder on July 14, 1928,
in Wichita. She preceded him in death on Feb. 8, 1999. They were married 70 years.
Survivors are: daughter, Roberta Hanson of Augusta; sister, Ruth DeWitt of Norman, Okla.; many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his step father, Dr. A.C. Madden and a sister, Viola Osborne.
Memorials have been established with First Baptist Church and LakePoint Nursing Center in Augusta.
Headley Funeral Chapel of Augusta has charge of the arrangements.

Helen Fulton

Helen M. (Willing) Fulton, 85, Destin, Fla., retired Anthony school district bookkeeper, formerly of Derby and Wichita, passed away Monday, July 26, 2004.
Graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, July 29, at Elmwood Cemetery in Augusta. Those attending should use the 12th St. entrance.
Visitation from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, July 28, at Headley Funeral Chapel in Augusta.
She is survived by: daughters, Patricia and husband, Richard Gilberg of Destin, Fla.; grandson, Scott Meeker and fiancee Johnette Alter of Dallas, Texas; sister, Shirley Wiles of Augusta; brothers, Harold and wife, Evelyn Willing of Augusta, Donald Willing of Wichita.
She was preceded in death by husband, Robert B.; parents, Lawrence and Lula (Richardson) Willing; brother, Richard.
Memorials may be given to the donor’s choice.
Arrangements are under the direction of Headley Funeral Chapel of Augusta.
