Josephine A. Gutschenritter

Josephine A. (Rau) Gutschenritter, 92, Wichita, mother and mother-in-law of Mary Ann and Jack Watson of Augusta, died Saturday, Aug. 14, 2004.
Funeral mass at 10 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 20, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Wichita.
Visitation with family from 2 to 4 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 19, with rosary following at 7 p.m., both at Downing & Lahey Mortuary West in Wichita.
Other survivors are: children, Jacqueline Carroll of Salamanca, N.Y., Jeanne Young of Ponca City, Okla., and Tony Gutschenritter of Lenexa; sister, Lorraine Rau of San Rafael, Calif.; 14 grandchildren; 19 greatgrandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established with Hospice of North Central Oklahoma, Inc.,
1904 N. Union, Suite 103, Ponca City, OK 74601.
Downing & Lahey Mortuary West of Wichita is handling the arrangements.

Juanita Kipers

Juanita Jane Kipers, 80, Tecumseh, formerly of Augusta, died Monday, Aug. 16, 2004.
Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 19, at Penwell-Gabel Southeast Chapel in Topeka. Graveside service will follow at 3 p.m. in Elmwood Cemetery in Augusta.
She was born on Nov. 30, 1923 in Wichita, the daughter of Byron R. and Lelia Mayhugh Baker.
She graduated from Augusta High School and married Virgil M. Kipers on June 7, 1942 in Augusta. They resided in Wichita from 1945 until moving to Tecumseh in 1983.
She worked as a meter maid for the City of Wichita
from 1960-1966. She was formerly a member of the United Methodist Church in Augusta.
Survivors include: husband, Virgil; children, Virgil M. Kipers, Jr. of Littleton, Colo., Janet K. Colbert of Ellicott City, Md„ Gary L. Kipers of Pierce City, Mo., and Karla K. Waggoner of Topeka; sisters, Laura Lee Langley of Exeter, Calif, and Kathy Nutter of Escondido, Calif.; brothers, Edward Baker of Rainbow, Calif., and Richard Baker of Escondido, Calif.; 10 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to Midland Hospice House, 120 SW Frazier Circle, Topeka, 66606, or Heart of America Hospice, 3715 SW 29th, Topeka, 66614.
Arrangements are under the direction of Penwell-Gabel Southeast Chapel in Topeka.

Lois J. Grene

Lois J. Grene, 81, Wichita, died Tuesday, Aug. 10, 2004.
There will be no service.
Survivors include: sons, Doug Grene of Tucson, Ariz., and Dr. Bruce Grene of Andover; daughter, Courtney Grene of Wichita; sister, Fran Welles of Florida; four grandchildren and a nephew.
A memorial has been established with American Stroke Association, P.O. Box 1653, Topeka, 66601-1653.
Downing & Lahey Mortuary East has charge of the arrangements.
