Viola Bagby

Viola (Hopkins) Bagby, 91, Augusta, died Friday, Aug. 13, 2004.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 17, at the First Christian Church.
Visitation from 4 to 8 p.m. this evening at Dunsford Funeral Chapel in Augusta.
She was born on Aug. 14, 1912 in Chase County to Clarence E. and Myrtle (Wareham) Hopkins.-
She taught music in many rural schools, worked at Boeing as “Rosie the Riveter," during World War
II, gave organ and piano lessons to many students through the years.
Viola enjoyed traveling and gardening. She was the organist at the Augusta First Christian Church for 74 years.
Survivors include: sons, Gary and wife, Mary of Austin, Texas, David and wife, Sheryl of Wichita, Donald and wife, Rebecca of Rockport, Texas; Bonnie Wagner, a friend of the family; grandchildren, Mike and Allan Bagby of Austin, Texas, Angie MatSon of Plainfield,
ILL., Darren and Tom Bagby of Wichita; three greatgrandchildren.
She was preceded in death by: husband, Wheeles; grandson, Brian; infant daughter; one brother and three sisters.
Memorial donations may be made to the Augusta First Christian Church.
Arrangements are under the direction of Dunsford Funeral Home of Augusta.

Delbert Finley

Delbert D. Finley, 67, Latham, stepfather of Danny Lambing of Augusta, died Wednesday, Aug. 11, 2004.
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 14, at Carlson Funeral Home in El Dorado. Burial will follow at the Latham Cemetery.
Survivors are: wife, Joyce of the home; sons, Michael Finley of Wichita and Trini Finley of El Dorado; daughter, Jacqueline Kelsey of Valley Center; mother, Mary Emma Finley of Rose Hill; brother, Gilbert Finley of Winfield; sisters, Velma Creed of Wellington, Sonya Knowles of Wichita, and Patricia Craig of Latham; stepsons, Robert W. Lambing of Fort Worth, Texas, Tom Lambing of McCook, Neb., and Mike Lambing of Latham; 15 grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren.
Arrangements are under the direction of Carlson Funeral Home of El Dorado.

Arrangements were pending this morning at Dunsford Funeral of Augusta.

Geraldine Mae Jenkins
Former Augustan Geraldine Mae Jenkins, 74, Winfield, homemaker, died Wednesday, Aug. 18, 2004.
Her funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 21, at Miles Funeral Service in Winfield. Interment will follow at Cumberland Cemetery northeast of Douglass.
Survivors are: husband, Earl of the home; daughters, Jill Jenkins of Douglass and Peggy Wike of Wichita; brothers, Newel Jordan of Moline and Jimmy Jordan of Chanute; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.
Memorials have been established for Westview Boy’s Home and the Douglass Senior Center.
Arrangements are under the direction of Miles Funeral Service of Winfield.
