Walter E. Shufelberger
Walter E. Shufelberger, 88, Augusta, retired truck driver/insulator, died Saturday, Aug. 28, 2004.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, at Dunsford Funeral Home in Augusta. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. tomorrow at Dunsford Funeral Chapel.
Mr. Shufelberger was a WWII veteran and former Legion Post commander. Survivors are: wife, Lila; son, Elvin and wife, Barbara of Salina; daughters, Dorothy Ohmart and husband, Bill, Valeta Hansen all of Wichita; 11 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Archie and Anna (Sturdy) Shufelberger and sister, Ruth Crandall.
Dunsford Funeral Home of Augusta has charge of the arrangements.
Wilma Crozier
Wilma Crozier, 79, Wichita, retired Boeing electrical wiring assembler, mother of Larry Shook of Douglass, died Friday, Aug. 27, 2004.
Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, in the Garden Chapel of Watson Funeral Home in Wichita.
Other survivors are: son, Jerold Shook of Rose Hill; daughter, Teena McColpin of Talequah, Okla.; sister, Stella Nadine Angleton of Wichita.
Watson Funeral Home of Wichita is handling the arrangements.
Cordell French
Cordell W. “Cory” French, 44, Towanda, Augusta Aviation maintenance owner, died Saturday, Aug. 28, 2004.
Memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesdayd, Aug. 31, at Downing & Lahey Mortuary East.
He is survived by: his wife, Kelly of the home; children, Tara Jo and Kyle of the home; parents, Don and Jeanene French of Leoti; brothers, Cameron of
Thornton, Colo., and Mitchell of Syracuse.
A memorial has been established with Cory French Memorial Fund, c/o Towanda State Bank.
Downing & Lahey are handling the arrangements.
Jayne Bailey
Jayne (Clark) Bailey, 69, Towanda, tax accountant, sister and sister-in-law of Marlin and Shirley Clark of Augusta, died Sunday, Aug. 29, 2004.
Funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 1, at Prospect Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Walnut Valley Memorial Park in El Dorado.
Other survivors include: children, Blythe Roberts of Towanda, Brad Wildin of Marion, Derek Wildin of Denver, Colo., Teresa Jacques of Rogers, Ark., Ted
Wildin of Denver, Micki Wood of Alhambra, Calif.; 11 grandchildren; nine greatgrandchildren.
She was preceded in death by: husband, Glenn Bailey; parents, Lloyd and Hilda (Crapson) Clark; sister, Barbara Kincheloe.
Memorials in her memory for Prospect Baptist Church, or Shepherds Chapel in Gravette, Ark., may be left at at Carlson Funeral Home, El Dorado, who has charge of the arrangements.
