Donald B. Goucher
Donald B. Goucher, 71, Pahrump, Nev., formerly of Augusta, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 7, 2004.
Visitation 10 a.m. until service time at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 11, at Headley Funeral Chapel in Augusta.
Mr. Goucher was bom in Oregon, Mo., on Jan. 13, 1933 the son of the late Gerald and Ella (Carr) Goucher.
He worked as a salesman for Scholfield Brothers in Augusta and retired as a salesman of manufactured homes in Pahrump.
Don served four years as vice president of the Chamber of Commerce in Pahrump. He was a member of Faith Fellowship Four Square Church where he served six years on the board of directors.
His survivors include: wife, Betty of Pahrump; sons, Randy Goucher of Leon, Charlie Goucher of Pahrump; daughters, Marilyn McClure, Tricia Bassingthwaighte, and Connie Mead, all of Augusta, Donella O’Gorman of Amarillo, Texas; step sons, Marcus Padgett of Downers Grove, ILL. and Darrell Keppner of Pahrump; step
daughter, Verna Padgett, also of Pahrump; brother, Lynn of El Dorado; sisters, Lois Chance and Bert Alfaro, both of Augusta, Kay Hill of Home; 20 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Gerry Berger and two grandsons.
Memorials suggested to Donald B. Goucher Memorial Fund to benefit his home church c/o Prairie State Bank, P.O. Box 520, Augusta, 67010.
Arrangements under the direction of Headley Funeral Home of Augusta.

Elizabeth Ann “Beth” Meloy Giaretta, 94, Grove, Okla., formerly of Augusta, died Tuesday, Sept. 7, 2004.
Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 11, at Hillside Funeral Home in Augusta. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery in Wichita.
She is survived by her brother, Clarence
Heschmayer of Cheney; numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by husband, Mike Meloy in 1985, and husband, Rudy Giaretta in 1999.
Arrangements are under the direction of Hillside Funeral Home of Augusta.

Emery E. Cody
Emery E. Cody, 91, Mulvane, retired Boeing Aircraft electrician, father and father-in-law of Marilyn and Craig Cruit of Augusta, died Tuesday, Sept. 7, 2004.
His funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 10, at Mulvane United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in Mulvane Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. today at Senter-Smith Mortuary in Mulvane.
Other survivors are: his wife, Doris; brother, Kelsey Cody of Longton; numerous nieces, nephews and other
relatives. Memorial established with Mulvane UMC Music Ministry. Arrangements are under the direction of Senter-Smith Mortuary of Mulvane.
Charlotte Jeffryes
Charlotte M. Jeffryes, 84, Wichita, homemaker and church secretary, mother of Phillip R. Jeffryes of Augusta, died Tuesday, Sept. 7, 2004.
Her funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 11, at Downing & Lahey Mortuary East in Wichita.
Other survivors include: son, Doug Jeffryes of Wichita Falls, Texas; five grandchildren; 10 greatgrandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Myron.
Downing & Lahey Mortuary East of Wichita is handling the arrangements.
Mayme Coghill
Mayme L. Coghill, 96, Wichita, formerly of Augusta, died Wednesday, Sept. 8, 2004.
A private service is planned.
She was a wing inspector for Boeing Aircraft during World War II and along with her husband, Paul, lived in Augusta for 60 years. He preceded her in death.
Survivors include: daughter, Jacque Schnoetziner of Wichita; two grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.
Arrangements by Lakeview Funeral Home of Wichita.
