Robert ‘Bob’ Nordman
Robert “Bob” Nordman, 78, Augusta, died
Wednesday, Oct. 13, 2004.
His funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 16, at Christ Lutheran Church in Augusta.
Visitation from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 15, at Dunsford Funeral Chapel in Augusta.
He was born on Dec. 24, 1925 in Augusta the son of Eldon "Pop" and Velma (Rice) Nordman.
He was retired from Mobil Oil Refinery and was a salesman for Galenkamp, Heads and Russell Larson Shoe stores.
Survivors include: his wife, Eugenia of the home; son and wife, Troy and Nancy Nordman of Augusta; daughters and husbands, Shelly and Keith Meyer of Augusta, Danielle and Paul Smith of Buckner, Ky.; sister, Eldena Martin of Newton; grandchildren, James and Tiffany Gillespie, Ryan Meyer, Abby, Tyler, Nick, Katy Nordman, Jordan, Ian, Conner Smith.
Memorial established with Christ Lutheran Church of Augusta.
Arrangements are under the direction of Dunsford Funeral Home of Augusta.

Helen Maxine Ohmart, 75, Augusta, homemaker, died Wednesday, Oct. 13, 2004.
Visitation from 9 to 11 a.m and funeral service at 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 18, at Dunsford Funeral Chapel in Augusta.
She was born on Nov. 14, 1928 in Augusta to Charles and Elizabeth (Mueller) Tabor.
Survivors are: son, Richard Dale Ohmart of Mulvane; sons and wives, James Edward and Anita Ohmart and Timothy Ray and Peggy Ohmart, all of Augusta; daughter, Cheryl Ann Ewalt of Belle Plaine; brothers, Harry Tabor and Ray Tabor, both of Oregon, Jim Tabor of Cherryville; sister, Kathryn Dowell of Augusta; four grandchildren; two step grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one step great-grandchild.
Memorial established with Encephalitis Research.

Janet Gardner, 65, Garfield, Ark., formerly of Augusta, died Thursday, Oct. 14, 2004.
A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. tomorrow at Lost Bridge Community Church at Whitney Mountain in Garfield.
There will be no visitation.
She was born on March 31,1939, in Topeka to Breck Lewis and Eileen Henry Lewis. She married Bill Gardner on April 13, 1957, at Miami, Okla., and they made their home in Augusta. She was a secretary at Augusta High School and later an office manager for Gardner Plumbing. In 1987, Bill and Janet moved to their dream area of Beaver Lake, Ark., where Janet became a realtor and
in 1989 she opened Beaver Lake Realty, as head broker. She was a member of Lost Bridge Community Church at Whitney Mountain, where she was church pianist for the past nine years. She enjoyed boating, being on Beaver Lake, shopping, gardening, her fish pond, playing the piano and church activities.
Survivors include: her husband of 47 years, Bill; two daughters, Tonie Teresa Apel and husband, Mike of Augusta, and Tracy Jo Edwards of Garfield, Ark.; three grandsons, Blake Apel of Garfield, Tyler Apel of Augusta, and Joseph McKee of Garfield; one great-granddaughter, Savannah Apel of Garfield; her mother, Eileen Lewis of Garfield; brother and sister-in-law, Bill and Lee Lewis of Everett, Wash.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to LUC Boys Ranch, 296 Boys Ranch Road, Lampe, Mo., 65681; or in honor of her daughter, Tonie, who is a breast cancer survivor, The Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, Mid-Kansas Affiliate, P.O. Box 780294, Wichita, 67278.
Arrangements are under the direction of Sisco Funeral Home of Pea Ridge, Ark.
