Harvey G. Smith

Harvey G. Smith, 81, Augusta, died Sunday, Jan. 2,2005.
Memorial graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 8, at Elmwood Cemetery in Augusta.
He was born on March 20, 1923 in Lester, Iowa to James and Minnie (Benjamin) Smith.
Mr. Smith was- a longtime resident of Yankton, S.D. and Longmont, Colo, and moved to Augusta in 1997.
He was a retired welder for Western Foundries in Longmont and Morgans Manufacturing in Yankton.
He was a United States Army veteran of World War II.
His survivors are: wife, Harriet Smith of Augusta; son, Gary Wichita, Roger of Yankton, S.D., Timothy and wife, Rickie of Derby; daughters, Twyla and husband, Taylor Pedersen of Longmont, Colo., Tammy and husband, Brett Moeller of Yankton; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Elvina, his parents, one brother, and three sisters.
Memorial to First Christian Church, 1600 State, Augusta.
Arrangements are under the direction of Dunsford Funeral Home of Augusta.


C.E. Kingsley

C.E. “Gene” Kingsley, 84, Augusta, died Jan. 1, 2005 at the Medicalodge of Douglass.
The celebration of his life will be held at 2 p.m. Friday Jan. 7, 2005 at the Kirby-Morris Funeral Home, El Dorado. Interment will follow the services in Walnut Valley Memorial Park cemetery.
was a longtime employee of the Mobil Oil Refinery.
Surviving family include his wife, Juanita; son Michael, Wichita; daugthers Joyce Darnell of Edwardsville, Kan., and Kim Edwards, Augusta; brother Philip Kingsley, Leon, sisters Claudine Reding, Wilma Elston and Ruth Kingsley, all of Wichita; nine grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by daughter Vicki Rogers, one brother and three sisters.
A memorial has been established with the Alzheimer’s Association. Contributions may be left with he Kirby-Morris Funeral Home in El Dorado.
During World War II he served his country in the United States Army in the Philippines. He
David H. Stanley

David Hubert Stanley, 77, brother of Bob Stanley of Augusta, died Dec. 31, 2004.
His service will be 1 p.m. Friday, Jan. 7, at Broadway Mortuary in Wichita. Burial will follow at White Chapel Cemetery.
Visitation will be possible from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday.
Donations to the National Parkinson Foundation have been suggested.
Survivors include his wife Leor, daughter Gretchen Bullock, son Michnael Stanley, all of Chandler, Ariz.; broher Earl Stanley of Highland, Texas, and four grandchildren.
The Broadway Mortuary of Wichita has charge of arrangements.

Kylie Edith Conrad

Kylie Edith Conrad, 3-month-old infant, of Blackwell, Okla., died on Dec. 31, 2004.
Funeral service was held today at the Dugger Funeral Home Chapel in Blackwell. Interment followed in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Tonkawa, Okla.
Her survivors include: parents, Donald and Brandi (Allen) Conrad; maternal grandparents, David and Linda Allen of Tonkawa; paternal grandparents, Donald and Christa Conrad of Augusta; twin sister, Kayla Conrad and sister, Shalee Allen; numerous aunts and uncles.
Dugger Funeral Home of Blackwell, Okla., handled the arrangements.
